Last night was poker night and here is the lineup. I smokes some of the best cigars I have ever smoked.
Cigar 1: Ashton VSG Belicoso No. 1 ROUND "Oh Baby" that is all I have to say about that.
Cigar 2: 5 Vegas Gold. Decent cigar if you like mild stuff. Not my cup of tea thogh. Great quality and consruction.
Cigar 3: 5 Vegas A, man what a great frickin cigar. I could smoke these things all day. If you like the full flavored stuff this is a great everyday cheap smoke.
Cigar 4: Opus X RDC from original DVD fuente release in crystal. Lots of oil. Great cigar but like most opus, it burned like a POS
It was from the box of 11/18's, 7/5's, and Diplomas so It didn't have a band.
Today I started with a Fuente Exquisitos natural. Really mild but complex with woody tones. Later a Royal Jamaican Oro Rojo?. Big stick but burned really unevenly. Not bad but had to pitch it 2/3 in since I had to relight so many times. Litter later a Juan Lopez torpedo. Very nice stick. Perfect construction with a pencil sharp cap. Box pressed too. Started with a woody pecan flavor that finished chocolatey. This is now at the top of my list.
I had a camacho 11/18, man that is a long smoke!
Long enough that I forgot I was smoking it and walked into the 7/11 quickie mart... the guy at the registers only comment was "that smells pretty good". Opps! Im sure there are plenty of laws against that here in california.
I found that the display box comes with some diploma from a batch 2 years ago when they lost their edge. To get the best stock you must buy by the box.
Had a Hoyo Petit Robusto with one of my classmates after school today. It was great a "dessert" to follow the Porterhouse with a port sauce and a side of Pommes Duchesse that we made today.
I smoked a 5 Vegas A while out training with the lab. I see Macallan as our "neighborhood dealer". He says "try this, you'll like it", then we get hooked. Thanks alot, man!!! My wife really hated the aroma of this one, so I know it was good!!!
Just finished off a 5 Vegas A. Paired with a fairly spicy Malbec wine. Not too shabby. I think I'm going to have to agree that this is a smoke that I will be seeing more of
Opus Perfection No. 2 I beleive it was. Pretty good stick with a lot of flavor. I can't say it was worth the money though. I wanted to like it and did but I won't buy another.
