What Did You Smoke Today

Hmm...a lil pricy for me still I think. Ive been smoking for 2 months now I guess. Will I be able do discern the differences from a $4-$7 cigar(majority of cost in CAO's line), and this?

I don't think you can look at taste from a cost perspective. A cigar is only worth the money if you like it enough to pay that much. Sometimes you just like the 4-7 dollar cigar more.

Ahh. I was under the impression that cost was related to the different tastes and quality of the cigar.

In a way it is I guess. There are certain leaves that might be in limited supply for instance and that would lead to a harder to acheive and thus more expensive blend which in turn creates the flavor of a cigar.

But in general, I would say cost has little or no direct relationship to taste. One of my favorite smokes for instance is the Rocky Patel Edge Lite which sells for about 5-6 bucks. This , to me at least, tates exactly the same as Montecristo Whites which sell for 10-15 bucks.

For me, I prefer the CAO Maduro and Cameroon to the Sopranos or the CX2. This might be because the maduro and cameroon have aged a little bit. When the CX2s and Sopranos have been around for a while, maybe they'll improve. For now, though, with the price difference, I much prefer the maduro and cameroon, even though they are cheaper.

I had a little Flor de Oliva Grand Cameroon, great smoke if you don't have allot of time.
Followed that with a Cusano C2 (I LOVE THESE!) and then a Leon Jimenes Robusto.
It was first time with Leon and I really enjoyed that stick. Can't wait to smoke the rest of 'em :D

Started off the night with a Partagas Black Label Clasico. Was quite good. Better than my last a while ago. Could still use a fair amount of age though as it was still a little chemically.

Later a Punch Champion. This thing just glistened with plume crystals. Was an amazing little thing with just maybe four months on it. A year or more...shivers...

Then a Fuente Exquisitos maduro. Didn't really get to smoke more than maybe half an inch as I was outside in the freezing cold waiting for a customer to answer her door. Lady orders a pizza at 11:00 which is half an hour before I get off. So I got to her place at 11:35 meaning I wasn't even supposed to be there, knock on her door, and she never answered. I knocked 4 times, called 4 times and my manager called 4 times leaving messages twice. At the end I was in a dimension of pissed off I've never been in before in my life.

Just went out and had a Punch Rare Corojo Rothschild - man, that is a tasty little smoke. It is the first cigar that I have smoked down to a nub in a bit.

It was so cold that I had to put on my winter golf gloves!

I smoked a 5 Vegas A last night. Tasty, tasty, tasty. The ash was nice and white and it had an even burn. I love these. The weather was beautiful. I don't mean to brag but, I didn't even need a coat last night. The summers are extremely hot in Tucson but, the rest of the year here is awesome.

Yes, but I will bet your habit is pretty warm, Brenda.

I plan to live out in the Palm Desert area when I grow up someday. I am already tired of the cold weather here - it is eating into my cigar consumption.

I haven't smoked anything since last Friday, but tonight I've got a date with a nice Punch Rare Corojo Magnum, or maybe a Double Corona. :D

had a Onyx Reserve belicoso earlier followed by a Carlos Torano casa torano got a CAO mx 2 that i will top it off with for the usc gamen looking forward to the cao as this will be the first time i have tried the mx 2

While at the local club I had a CAO Brazilia Gol after lunch. I have to say it's an excellent excellent smoke. For dessert I had a Cusano Paired Maduro Robusto. I have to say it's one of the best, if not the best smoke I've had. I don't know if it was the Newcastle I was drinking but it had a bold mellow taste with a hint of cherry. Awesome. Definately looking to purchase a box of those bad boys.

5 Vegas A Archetype and an old fav, the C.com Cameroon. About 45 degrees and nice out at the paintball park today.

ADVICE
I'm feel like going to the beach and having a smoke while watching the sunset.

What should I have :D :?:

a) Añejo #55
b) Partagas Serie P2

My Saturday night cigar was one that's been terrifying me for a while. It was a 6x60 torpedo shape that said Camacho on it. Don't know which one it is, and I forget who sent it to me, but there were two in Desk Top IV, side by side. I'd say I've had these for anywhere from six months to two years, but probably two years. Who knows, maybe even more. At any rate, I guess I aged all the "Earnie Shavers" out of it, because it was smooth, and didn't put me down for the count.

It tasted of lots of cedar, burnt sugar, and fairly new leather. I have a hard time smoking more than three cigars a month during the colder months, even when I'm properly medicated, and this was a nice tasting, and thankfully not too hard hitting cigar.

Nice to hear you were able to enjoy a smoke Bloof. This week was very windy with some rain, so I only had a couple.

smoke the Partagas and send the Añejo to me

The wind was blasting here all week. We had a rip-snortin' rain storm that started Tuesday night and blasted all the way until Wednesday morning, and high winds all week long. Thankfully, no damage, and no power outages, but I'll bet some people around here didn't fare so well.
