What Did You Smoke Today

Artisan, Archetype, and Alpha (Torp) are very similar. Haven't tried the Anamoly yet, but I don't smoke sticks that small usually.

I have noticed very small differences between them. Could just be conditions of my palate at differing times; the Alpha is my fav, seeming to be a little ...fuller in taste? The Artisan seems to have a slightly stronger coccoa taste. But since they are all rolled with the same types of tobacco, I may be perceiving differences that either aren't really there or can be attributed to different crops at different times?

I love them all though :D

BTW, I am currently enjoying a La Aurora Robusto which is quite nice too!

(I am also cleaning soda off my laptop keyboard, but that's FREEDOMGUNS' fault!)

Had a Flor De A Allone. I had 15 of them in the humi since April so I thought I would give one a try. Not bad. Left a taste on the palate similar to the Dark Harrar coffee I was drinking. Great burn with a lot of smoke. Didn't want to light a cigar that I couldn't part with before finishing. Took a lot of wood to get the garage warm tonight. Heading to -17 tonight.

Just a Cigar.com Cuban label...tasty churchill that I finished in 45mins.

Corojo Diploma. Didn't seem much like a diploma except for the aroma. But it didn't really have any age on it and I wasn't really taking my time with it either. Was still a good smoke.

BP, each of the different tobaccos are picked at different times but all of it at once. The differences you taste are however indeed real. Its just that in order to make the different sizes, different amounts of each tobacco have to be used.

For instance an Artisan will have the same amount of wrapper as the Anomaly but less filler and less binder so that the 44 guage can be acheived.

Had a diploma maduro with razorking monday nite. What can I say......diploma.....

a perfect burn but it went out once.....small price to pay. :D

If I have time I'm smoking a coyolar perfecto tonite......I love those things.

Also looking forward to seeing the El cobre's go on sale........

Wow, 45 minutes. . . It takes me two hours to smoke a churchill. Question: when smoking a cigar how long do you guys let it rest between puffs?

And so it doesn't burn as quickly (right?)

It takes me about 2 hours for a churchill also! About 45 minutes for a robusto.

I rest about 1 minute before puffs, if not longer. Depends on who I'm with and if we're too busy talking.

takes me about 45 min for a robusto also....depends on the cigar and how tight its rolled I think. I've smoked robustos that I finished in a 1/2 hour...and others took almost an hour. A minute between puffs is about right, but there are variables...one of my favorites right now is the camacho coyolar puro perfecto #1...its a 4 1/2" figurado. If you try to smoke it too fast..it burns badly...smoke it sssllllowwwww...and its fantastic...takes about an hour...very strong....the strongest coyolar...leaves a strong taste on your pallette for a minute or so between puffs...allowing for a really slow smoke...love em. :D

RAVYN, the camacho coyolar puro perfecto #1 sounds right up my alley. I'll have to try one of those.

They are my current favorite....they are the strongest cigar I have ever smoked to date.

It was a really flimsy cigar. Wasnt rolled very well I dont think, so that had something to do with it. Smoked pretty fast, but maybe it was closer to an hour. I know it wasnt more than that, I smoked it while watching Charmed on TNT

Oops, I wrote that wrong. It should have read:

For instance an Anomaly will have the same amount of wrapper as the Artisan but less filler and less binder so that the 44 guage can be acheived.

The wrapper is mostly just the flavor. Given proper draw times (1-2 a minute) all of the cigar should burn at the same rate. Less mass is the reason for shorter burn times.
