What Did You Smoke Today

 :rotflmao: :rotflmao: :cryinlaugh:

I agree Capt, but you know what I always say:

"One man's super-premium is another man's dogrocket." :dunno:

3 sticks today:

Short Story, great as usual
PSD4 which was so awesome I'm gonna have another tomorrow 8)
LGC Serie R #5 maduro...sooo dark and sooo good

I had my cigar for the week. Went out last night with a buddy of mine. Shot some pool. Drank Jack Daniel's Single Barrel (first time- took some adjusting to but, it grew on me.) Smoked a Hemingway Work of Art. This was a great smoke. It was a flavorful, rich smoke. It smelled so good. I didn't want to put it down.

Smoked a Danli Reserve Ltd. Ed. Sungrown. Great cigar to enjoy while taking a stroll through the park.

Doc-how does it compare to the 92's?
Sorry for my late reply. Got back from visiting my relatives in Hawaii late last night.

Haven't had the chance to try the 92 yet. It's still sitting in my humi waiting.

Today, I finally tried a CAO Cameroon corona. It burned evenly throughout, smooth and mild taste. Draw was tighter than what I expected. Wasn't overly impressed though. Maybe 2 months in my humi wasn't enough. I'll try another in future months to come.

Doc, it sounds like you had a good holiday, welcome back to reality.

Went with my son for a walk to the library, so I lit up an Indian Tabac SFM Toro for the walk. It is the first one of the batch I ordered from Montreal earlier in the month. Very nice...tremendous prelight aroma, lots of flavor, a little tight in the draw - I too think it was a little fresh yet - good ash - untill I kept knocking it off. I am saving half for later on in the week when I have some more time - Monopoly is calling!!!

Take care.

After getting a call from my Contemporary Cuisine Chef letting me know that I received an A in his class, I had no choice but to fire up a Forbidden X...it hurt so good :D

Tried my first Padron this morning with my Kona coffee. All I can say is WOW! This stick was so good! Didn't realize how thick the smoke was gonna be, because I smoked it in my study room. Too cold to smoke outside. Gonna have to air this room out before the wife gets home.

It was a Padron Delicias. Didn't have much time so I picked this out of my humi to go with my quick coffee. Still have my 3000, 4000, and 1964 anniversary. I can hear them calling out for me!

My pipe to start.

Later a Rocky Patel Reo Chairman. Was absolutely fantastic. Too bad I'm broke now, I could have these everyday. Smoked it down to the nub.

5-Vegas "A" Artisan. Really enjoyable smoke on the ride home from work. Left me in a good mood for the whole evening.

While enjoying the company and conversation with vince, Rayvn, and RazorKing, I imbibed two quality beers - Bells Dobblebock and Stone Russian Imperial Stout. To complement them, I fired up a RyJ Cedros #2, a Bahia Trinidad (thanks vince!) and a Cusano 18.

I enjoyed the Bahia very much and look forward to picking up a few in the future.

On Christmas Eve (really christmas morning) I gave myself a nice present; Opus X Fuente Fuente. Wow, that cigar packed a punch. It had bite without being bitter. And all of that complexity, I cannot descibe everything that I tasted, but it was very good. It was not the best cigar I have ever had, but definately the highest quality I have had in a cigar. I was light headed when I got up from it.

Yesterday I had a 5 Vegas Alpha (thanks BP). Really dark in flavour but a smooth finish. It strarted off as a very dark roast coffe but mellowed a bit about half way down. I really wished that I drank a cup of coffee with it instead of the ottercreek octoberfest (it just did not stand up to that cigar). It was a little too much on the flavour for my palate, but still a good cigar.

AHHHHAAHHHH.... I am not sure what happened tonight but I sat down and hated everything I smoked. Am I too critical.

I started out sampling a boutique blend called Troya

1. Troya Natural - Yack
2. Troya X-tra - double yuck
3. Troya Corojo - yuck

4. CAO Criollo - this sucker was awful. I usually like these so I am not sure what the deal was.

5. Graycliff Espresso robusto - old faithful came through but it was just okay this time.

I think those Troya cigars threw off my palate badly. I cant figure it out. Time to go drink a gallon of club soda. Hopefully there was no permanent damage.

C10 robusto. Was better than the last but not anything to write home about. Is it just me or have these really declined in flavor? Maybe its the robusto size. I loved every crown corona I ever had but the robustos just seem way too bland and smoky to me.
