What Did You Smoke Today

I FINALLY got to sleep in today, first time in years. I woke up with the lab and went out and had a Punch London Club. I usually do not like Punch, but this one with a nice cup of Kauai Peaberry was still... not.... that... good..... My shop is out of Short Stories. Kid Rock bought the last two boxes....A$$!!!!!!!!

I love that you guys just smoke an Opus after lunch like its nothing. If you get them at retail then I could understand.

Then again, "sometimes a cigar is just a cigar."

As a matter of fact, this particular Opus was purchased at close to MSRP thanks to a fellow forum member.

Hey Capt, I think you and Mr. Big should show up at Kid Rock's and demand those SS's. Big looks like he could snap him in half

This morning: Short Story
This afternoon: Oliva Master Blends 1 robusto
Later this evening: ??

Axe buying Opus at retail? I know you've gotta have your connections.

I wonder if Kid Rock actually knows cigars or if he pays somebody to know them for him. :p Still its pretty cool that "Black Bob" goes to your shop.

I think even BP could break Kid Rock in half (OOOOOOH, SNAP  ). Taking Big would be like taking a tank to a knife fight.

:D Actually he might have my PIF box still--I better shut up. :D

ANNNYYYways, I started off with a Partagas Naturales. I couldn't smoke it since the cap fell off when I took it out of the cello. I'm gonna have to get myself a cheroot so I don't have to pitch cigars like that. I had a Fuente Exquisitos maduro indstead. Those are such great cigars. Very smooth yet full bodied and spicy to boot. Later on I had half of a Patel 1990 A size that I had cut off a long time ago. The other half unraveled but I'm glad I kept this. Was nice and creamy yet medium full with hints of leather.

tap....tap....tap....

<--- goes outside and rolls up a doggy turd in a magnolia leaf and places in box to ship to McHenry IL.

Happy smoking quag!

I was thinking about who I could easily make fun of and you just came to mind. Don't know why...

I did find something you might like though. It's in another thread. At least I'm thinking of you...

Now that USC has just been dethroned, I'm gonna have a PAM Exclusivo and some Macallan 18yr.

I've had about enough of all these bandwagoners out here...Even near San Diego State Univ. they sell USC merchandise

Smoked two 8-9-8 collection nicaraguan torpedoes I got from Mike's. I'm much more of a Maduro fan, but these were still pretty good. Heck, for the $1 a stick I got them for they were downright great!

Those are some good lookin' sticks for a buck a piece; nice box as well. Who makes those?

Well I went to look for a el rey del mundo choix supreme cause I heard you guys speak very highly of them but my shop had none....so I settled for a Flor de Oliva 10th Anniversary which I'll say was just ok to me...nice burn little soft but no real taste...I think I'm starting to edge towards spicy sticks....my palette has been spoiled by Padron....I also picked up a Padron fumas which I haven't tried yet....tomorrow my Patel 1992 Segundo's will be here and I cant wait......don from cigar.com told me there was no difference in them and the number 1's except for slight discoloration....he smoked both at the same time and they burned and tasted identical

Phisherman: Here's what the website said about them.... I'm not sure who makes them. They look better than they taste, but they're not bad for cheapies. They're pretty large cigars, too. It is a nice box...

The website says they are going for 39.95, but I got some email deal where they were only 27.00

898 Collection Nic
Country: Nicaragua
Wrapper: Ecuador, Nicaragua
Binder: Nicaragua
Filler: Nicaragua
Strength: medium

The Gonzalez family began manufacturing cigars by hand in Miami using the experience that they brought from years of making cigars in Cuba. Only Cuban seed tobaccos are used in the manufacture of this medium to full bodied cigar with all Nicaraguan tobacco and an Ecuador wrapper. All shapes are packed in cedar boxes of 25 cigars and all tobacco has been aged at least two years. The Belicoso Fino and Big League #1 & #2 are wrapped in a silky H-2000 and are a perfect box pressed.

Had a nice Ashton Aged Maduro #10. I love those Aged Maduros. Great smoke for a Friday afternoon.

I have a box of Maduro #20's which are smoking mighty fine right now, so I know what you're talking about Kelvin :)

Had a Hemingway Signature this morning and just put down a "no cello" Cohiba Robusto

Tonight I'm thinking maybe BBF or PSD4
