What Did You Smoke Today

Just finised my new kitchen today, right now I'm enjoying a Monty #2 while the prime rib cooks and wondering what'll be good after dinner....Hm, my boy did give me a Padron 64 sampler for Christmas...god I love that boy.

AWWW.... You're breakin' heart! ....lol

I smoked a C10 this morning with a cup of Organic Bolivian coffee. Could it be that the coffee out flavored the cigar???

I wasn't too happy with the cigar. The coffee was awesome.

Smoked a Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte Pamplona. It was good. Had about 4 months of age on it. Kinda smelled bad but tasted pretty good.

Got back into SF last evening, went over by the Golden Gate bridge and lit up one of the new Bolivar toros.
I wish I could say the smoke was as good as the view but I'd be lying.
I'm not sure if it's because the cigar was young or if it just plain sucks.

On the other hand I had three great smokes today with Calibus:

Hemingway Classic
Master Blends 1 robusto
Juan Lopez Seleccion Números Dos

Today I smoked two filets of King Salmon and a slab of ribs. I was thinking about smoking a couple pheasants, but I didn't take them out of the freezer soon enough. Plus with the brining, it would have been way too late, and........ What? Thats what I smoked today!

Congrats! To Celebrate your grade I smoked a 5 Vegas A and had a dram of Macallan (courtesy of Cybrus, thanks!)

I picked up a cigar at my local shop called Black Pearl. I've never heard of it before but it was really good. Nice and smooth, burned extremely even and had a nice strong ash. Might have to try these again.

Please do i would really like to make my own buy a nice pice of meat slice it up put on some seasoning and mnmmm my mouth is watering right now

Last night, I sat on the patio in my backyard. I listened to David Sedaris' Me Talk Pretty One Day Audio book, drank a nice serving of Macallan and smoked a Camacho Perfecto (thank you Ravyn!) This was an awesome smoke. So rich! So spicy! So flavorful! I must say this is one of my new favorites. I'm picking up more of these little guys. It took me about two hours to smoke. My new favorite thing is listening to audio books while smoking. David Sedaris is so much fun.

Brenda, have you read Sedaris "Holidays on Ice"? Great book. Back on focus. Saturday I had an El Cobre robusto and a Cusano 18 Robusto. I've had the El Cobre in the humi for over 3 weeks and it was very good. I think another month of aging will make them excellent.

I re-read a chunk on Christmas.

thats pretty impressive Brenda...I usually get a hour out of em...the interesting thing about those perfectos is that there are 5 styles in that blend. They are all great...but the other styles don't come close in flavor. Glad you liked it. :D

The only bad thing was that I had to keep re-lighting it. I also try not to take too many puffs. The second I feel it getting hot I let it rest for a minute. I'll take a puff every 30-45 secs. I hate when they turn bitter or get a bit of a bite. This cigar was tasty goodness. It's perfect with Scotch.

yes...there are some relighting issues if you go too slow...I equate that with the diplomas though...so tastey that its worth the trouble :D
