What Did You Smoke Today

I had a REO robusto. I did not like this at all, I did not think that it had any flavor. It burned great I just did not care for it.

Tonight on the ride home, and Ernesto Padilla toro. It looks so yumy. I will report back tomorrow with my findings.

Poker night last night.

1. REO Robusto - I really enjoy these

2. La Aurora Ltd Ed Preferido Robusto- this is the cigar that recently got rated 93. Not a bad smoke but I am not very partial to Cameroon.

3. La Gloria Cubano Churchill (ISOM), poor burn and just decent flavor. Wont be seeking out to many more of these.

4. Cusano 18 Robusto - Best cigar I smoked all night. I am convinced his cigars are just the best. I smoked a corojo 97 last week having not had one in a while and fell in love with it again. Cusano is frankly just the best. Even setting aside that they are also a great value, I think I would pay two or three times the asking price if I had to.

thats what it looks like but the size is wrong it was a big ring gauge that thinkg was so freakin good its not even funny. ill probally just stop but and pick up andother and find out

Forgive me, Alex, but what does ISOM mean...?

AMEN! :D

when you guys rave about the 18's, are you talkin bout the paired maduro's or double conn's?

They are both great... I think the Maduro is a little sweeter with a bit more body, yet the Connecticut I find to be smoother, and have a larger volume of creamy white smoke...try some of both, you won't be disappointed

Smoked a Sol Cubano maduro last night, and the Cusano 18 Double Conneticut that Doc-T sent me the night before. Both were accompanied by a nice lager and were most excellent. The Cusano was among (if not) the best cigars I have smoked. Both were with friends in celebration of the birth of my wife and I's twin daughters last week and I fully intend to keep doing so every night until I run out of friends or cigars.

is there any particular size preferred over the other?

When trying new cigars, I generally try to stick the Robusto....unless of coarse someone recomends another size (ie. the mini Belicoso for the Onyx) Also, I rarely have the time to commit to a cigar the size of a Churchill.

Redemption for CAO

I must say that for the most part I have been unimpressed with the cigars i have had from CAO...I know a lot of you like them but... I did not care for the Black or the Gold; the Camaroon was ok, but was nothing special for me(c.com camaroon is better).... Then I tried the Brazilia... Now I must say that I DID enjoy that cigar very much!

Tonight I had a CAO Italia And I think that it is quite possibly the best LOOKING cigar that I have ever seen. It was a good smoke too, but I fell in love with the way this baby looked and felt. I have never seen a cigar with quite that much of an oily sheen before. The color of lightly roasted coffee and the oily Luster promised of rich pleasures to be had...and I was not disappointed. It was not the best SMOKING cigar I have had, and I had some major burn issues with it, but I will deffinitely get more of these to rest in my humi for a couple of months.

Bob, it sounds like we are in the same boat. When I get my new couch (some time next year after i finish paying off my credit cards ugh!) I will put my current one down there and make a nice little lounge on palates down there. I already have the cable TV hooked up and I could have my sirius receiver on upstairs and still get the FM signal downstairs. Now all I need is a space heater to keep that room warm.

Well, I wish that i had better news, but this cigar was a little disapointing. The wrapper was falling off of the rest of the stick. I had to keep licking it to keep it on. The burn was a mess too. Had to keep playing with my ighter to bget it back on course. Lots of tunneling. As for the taste, lots of cedar, very woodsy. Very creamy smoke. It had a light and very smooth finish. One of the smoother smokes I have had. Not bitter at all (however I did hot box it a couple times trying to get it to burn better). A conneticut wrapper led to quite a mild flavour. I really didn't pick up too many different things with this stick. Overall, not the worst experience, but still had more issues to deal with than most smokes I have had. I have 4 more to try so maybe some more time in the humidor will help. Hopefully that was the only one with wrapper problems.

I smoke a 5 vegas A artisan that had wrapper problems. I though maybe that was my fault. but it seem the whole cigar was just a bad a smoke. i don't know though(i was a littkle drunk) but the second time i smoked one i thought it was awesome. it lasted about 50 minutes i would say it smoked really good, no problem and had a wonderful taste. i wish i had enough expericience to give a proper review of this cigar but i will def. be smoking afew more of these.
