They're not too bad, but they're not as great as I was hoping they'd be. They're pretty fragile...one of them snapped right in half when I went to flick the ash from it, and I had another start to split when I flicked it. As far as flavor, they're so-so. Very mild and kind of bland IMO. I'll finish the ones I have left, but I probably won't buy any more.

Managed to get away for a little while today to watch the game on tv. Had me a M2. It was perfect until the last third when it decided to plug up on me.

7/9

A buddy of mine gave me my first Partagas Black. It was the "Magnifico," but the name was an overstatement. While it held a nearly 3 inch solid gray ash with an even burn, it was lacking in flavor. I won't count this one out just yet, but it was nothing compared to a #10 maduro.

7/10

Just called it an evening with a D2. This one reminded me of the M2 from the other night but burned a little hotter. Might have been from the looser draw. Enjoyable just the same.

tonight i had an awsome chicken and baked potatoe dinner with my roomates. then after i had a deschutes porter and a oliva o maduro ovation that i got from the cotmc (fabric band) it was pretty sweet. didnt burn that well but tasted nice. the fabric band was a nice touch, very nice stitch work.

Had a good weekend.
Saturday eve we had a birthday party for RazorKings wife. I smoked a padron 4000

Sunday we went to the airshow...then hung out at the pool. I smoked a Hoyo dark sumatra.

I'm really liking both of these. :D

Speaking of an airshow, did you see the collision at the Saskatchewan air show on Sunday?

Oh, and this morning I had a Short Story with my morning coffee and newspaper :)

7/7= Rocky Patel Edge maduro torpedo and a CAO MX2 robusto

7/8= CAO MX2 robusto

7/9= Natural Diploma, Cohiba XV 652, Perdomo Edicion de Silvio torpedo

7/10= CAO MX2 robusto

7/11= CAO MX2 robusto

The patels were very nice with lots of spice and hints of leather towards the ends. The MX2's are hard for me to describe other than very leathery full bodied smokes. Very enjoyable... have to buy another box soon. Diplomas are Diplomas although this was the first time I had a natural wrapper. More mild with less pungency. The Cohiba XV is probably my list topper now. Full bodied but won't knock you on your ass. At 9.50 a pop though they're also almost my most expensive semi-regular stick. Rare occurrance but I relish them when I get them. The Edicion de Silvio was the one cigar I have been looking forward to for weeks and what a letdown. Could not keep the thing lit for the life of me and it tasted like kraft paper. I want to give it another chance but have not heard good things so I don't know.

My wife told me about it, but I didn't see it. It amazes me at the skill level that these guys fly at. We went to "wings over pittsburgh". Its a free show put on by the local wing command. Dot gov. wants to close the base...I'll be sad if they do. The show is spectacular.

On a side note, Everytime I'm in the fuente humador at the shop...I always look at those short stories...I'll have to try one. (with cofee of course :) )

Camacho Liberty 05, and a Diploma MAduro...

The maduro seemd to be better than my previous experiences..........

2 today,

RYJ Beli and Camacho Corojo Dark Monarca
This Dark was the best one I've had thus far.

This morning I decided to shake things up a bit. Instead of my usual Short Story, I had a M4. It was recent production so I'm glad I opted for espresso, perfect together.

im smoking my pipe right now, but had a condega after work. I won't be having any more of them.

evening of 7/13:

La Aurora 100 Años Corona...flawless!

Today I only had time for my morning Short Story. Too much running around :bolt:

Gurkha Grand Reserve natural churchill. Pure perfection. I love these with a passion. Its almost like they're flavored because the smell is so intoxicating. Most flawless construction I've seen yet.

Last night was poker night and truth be told I had not had anything to smoke since Maui before last night. I know it is hard to believe.

So yesterday lunch: Camacho Corojo Dark Fig.

Poker: Another Camacho Crorojo Dark Fig., Litto Gomes Diaz Chissel, C10 Corona, El Cobre Robusto (PBL), another el cobre robusto, and about half a bottle of glenlivet
