What is your favorite Hobby?

Most of the time I read books. A month a go I saw the movie Sahara, and really liked it. I went online to my local Library's website, and started putting Clive Cussler books on hold. I think I am on the 19th book, and only have a handfull to go.

Clive Cussler's the sh!t! I've read almost all of his books.

Different strokes for different folks.

My hobby is collecting sports memorabilia, especially Jets and Yankees things.

Not many people know, but I enjoy buying the Department 56 Dickens Village and I love putting it up every Christmas, and hate taking it down (It takes too long! )

I enjoy hunting and fishing. You can also always find me at my local shooting range. I love the smell of gunpowder in the morning!! I also enjoy learning about defensive shooting and tactics. When not at the range I'll be playing Airsoft with my friends.

Heck Bildo, I thought you had to be off shore to catch anything. the only thing I caught "on" shore was..........

I'm into snow village myself. I'm actually STILL putting it up since this year I had to move it to a different room and expand it. Its 7x11 now with an upper level along the back now. It outgrew every table I had that I could use so I had to build 4 fould out platforms. My parents keep telling me its gotta come down at some point but I'm not touching it once its done unless I get more.

I am liking this thread Brenda - me personally, i wish I had some more outside interests but at the moment it's video games; Xbox Xbox360 PSP and Gamecube as well as Golf and movies my DVD collection is pretty big at just over 500 right now - by the way my XBOX gametag is Thesidog

Hunting, camping, fishing, fighting, shooting, eating, drinking, smoking cigars, reading, swimming...I'll think of more...

When I have the time I really love weight lifting and exercise. It makes me feel really good and gives me a boost of energy. I like to get 4-5 days in the gym when I can. Now that I have an infant to take care of I have not been able to do it for 5 months. I really have to find a way to do something while I am at my house but I don't have a lot of space to work with. I may have to get back into running instead of weight lifting.

I also enjoy trying new wines and cooking. the coffee thing is also on the radar but i don't know how the wife is going to take to another hobby with expenditures.

I used to set up and keep aquarium tanks with south american cichlids. I had 3 oscars; two plecostomus' 2 jack dempseys; and 2 jaguars over the life of my hobby. They were really fun to watch but when my daughter overtook the room with my 125 gallon tank, I did not get in there as much to clean it and it became a just a chore and not a hobby any more. I still have a 46 gallon bow front that my mom wants me to set up in her new house but she is going to have to clean it. I refuse to set it up for her and clean it as well. If she wants it; she's going to have the responsibility as well. They already have a Koi pond at the new house to take care of and think that I am going to do all of the work for them. Fat chance.

Past hobbies which I don't have time for:
RC car racing
camping/hiking

Current hobbies:
cigars (whenever I have the time)
Socom 3 (PS2 online) gaming
computers
hunting (doves, quails, pheasants). Want to try turkey and duck next season.
fishing (doesn't everyone from Hawaii do this?)
digital photo restoration and retouching using Photoshop

New hobby:
golf (I really suck at it right now, but I'm learning! Now if only I could hit the darn ball!)

Hobbies? I remember hobbies ... I think. :?

Only have two or three left ... cigars, computers, surfing the 'net, a little photography and video work of the kids' teams and activities.

I once enjoyed golf, shooting, archery, hunting, fishing, and other things. Then the kids got into activities and took most of my money and time.

This thread got me thinking about how boring I must be to others.

I used to SCUBA, snow mobile, shoot, pc game, fish. I had a 67 Lotus fixer upper.....boat, motorcycle....

Now I have kids. Now, I watch sports and smoke cigars, lots of delicious cigars.

I have a funny feeling I m getting on this path.

Too many to list.
The ones that take up MOST of my time are:
Martial Arts, Shot Glass collecting (400 +, although I haven't bought one in over a year now), carpentry work (very early stage of experience!) and now cigars.

Shot glass collecting, thats a wonderful Idea, but since every glass will hold water I hope you checked every one of them out to make sure that they will hold Whisky !!!! Enjoy, Vince

They do and they have!

I'm also into collecting unusual cigar boxes. Right now I'm looking for a Sopranos box.

You'd probably be better off buying an entire box DD. The ones I saw ran 40-50 bucks. Why pay 1/4 of the price of the box and cigars for just the box?

That's what I'm thinking, too. Although, I've never even tried one. What if I don't like it? Then I just payed $200 for something that I don't like.

I can't even find one out here.
