Nothing from the land of FU ? I wonder whats up with Cian & Company ?

I certainly hope all is well with Cian and his family. His stuff, as I said before, was some of the best internet reading I've done. REAL good, old fashioned storytelling. By the way, Vince, have you seen the "cigar rotation" thread yet?

It is Sunday Morning again, we all made it an other week !26 march 2006, this past 3 weeks in March have been colder than the first 3 weeks of January this year , according to Jeff Verzella , the chief weather prognosticator on KDKA TV & Radio , 2.5 degrees on average cooler now that back in Jan . ! , we are 15 inches behind on the snow fall for the average winter, sitting at 25 when we average 40 ,BUT I guess there is nothing we can do about the weather short of complaining about it !
I have the pasta board out & will be making Ravioli today , the sauce is simmering & I will be making the little pillows of cheese & sausage later today, we will be eating about 4/4:30 , , if your coming bring a bottle of Barolo!
We started the day with a sausage & cheese omelet , the rest of the sausage Will be going into the sauce later today, I want to concentrate the tomato taste before I add to much of any other flavor to the mix .
the pot of Kona is almost empty & I have a back up pot of margoheppie waiting to go on , along with a Monte I have been watching closely since 1992, when I sold off my cigar collection before my bypass surgery I kept a few old rare items , now that I am feeling much better than I was this time last year I am breaking out some of the "Good Stuff", I did get rid of all my Partagas 150's , now I could kick my self in the ass for doing that, But I got the price I was asking & & did pay off the house , so if anything happened during the cutting my wife would be able to stay here payment free, now comes the long hard Expensive road to building back my collection ! & filling the empty humidors , dammmm now is the time to build a walk in here at home hahahaha , yea like the boss would left me do that ! it would go over like a fart in Church !
The grandson both have Bronchitis so there will be no trip to the arcade this week, dammmm I might just go my self hahahahaha
I had my car in the shop this week, for the mandatory state inspection , replaced the front rotors & put on new ceramic disk brakes the car has 123K on it & I hope to keep it a few more years , all I have ever done to it was preventive maintenance & replace the fan belt , wiper blades , tires & one battery in the 5 years I have had the car, my first sedan with a sun roof & I will never be with out a sun roof again , if it isn't a convertible hahahaha !, I am looking at an F150 Pick up with a sun roof , for my next means of transportation , unless I find a nice convertible that my wife likes , but she is anti convertible, I had one when we were dating , I would show up, car all clean 7 the top down, first thing she would say, can you put the top up? dammmm I should have put my foot down then & said NO it is 80F & the sky is wonderful to look at , yadda yadda yadda , but NO I said OK, & put up the dam top ! Oh well 36 years this Aug, a wonderfully daughter & 2 grandsons later & I guess it was worth all the BS . she allows me to smoke cigars a little scotch now & then so I guess she is a keeper hahaha & thats what I have been doing most of my life , Keeping her !
, I pick up a box of Camacho Negro Churchill's , & have been smoking one a day since I got the box, wonderful smoke & a great looking humidor box it came in , yea like I needed an other humidor !
We had a crew here Wed. night for a birthday celebration for Cybrus , we made a phone call to Tiny Tim & got his voice mail & Borbounlover was home & answered thew phone so he got to "join "in the celebration just like he would have when he lived in Da Burgh before moving to Massataxus & being teddy kennedy next door pain the the @$$, hahahahaha !
well with 7 guys puffing a way in the Qtr.deck we over whelmed the exhaust fan & had to open the door to get some ventilation going , we sipped a Little Johnny Walker Blue in honor of the birthday boy & consumed a few pots of coffee , it was a great time for all of us & we plan on getting to gether again this Wed. about 7/7:30 , so if your in the Pittsburgh area or just want to show up be my guest , we can always add a little water to the soup & a chair to the Qtr.deck !, which BTW has a new end table in it , My wife has been complaining about the end table in the living room for over a year now, it has a glass top insert over an oak frame, well she decided she didn't like the glass & wants to get a piece of wood to replace the glass, well if you ever tried to match up a hunk of wood & finish , well you can understand it would be essayer to replace the entire end table, so thats what I did & I took the old glass top one to the Qtr.Deck , now she is happy & I have a little less room as this table is bigger than the one it replaced & I kept the one it replaced , just re arranged the furniture to accommodate it ., almost noon & I need to get this posted to make it a true Sunday morning smoke , the Don Carlos III is waiting on me ! Enjoy, Vince

Ahhhhhhh, it truly is Sunday when Vince booms in with his one sentence posts from The Land Of Yinze.

Don't worry Stick, you did it right brother. I have one of those in the Humi waiting for a sumer day, sounds like I should eat first though.

Sunday is pretty quiet here, another afternoon will be spent finishing the organisation of my new office. It is so good to be finished the renovation, now all I have to do is pay for it. ha, ha,ha. I am thinking the next few years will go pretty quickly, and then we will be mortgage free. Wahoo!!!

And now back to the regularley scheduled madness!!

Glad you & fu are fine !! Enjoy, Vince

Sunday April 2, Daylight savings time started at 2 AM today so I have more time to do what I never wanted to do in the first place ? Time, how do you save time ? changing the clock will not save time . Finding a faster way to do some thing will save time , the clock is just a place marker not a tool., you mark your golf ball with a marker, on the green , but you need a club to put it in the cup. , DST just some thing to mess with out all ready over worked minds !

The coffee is on & I have made my walk to the end of the drive way to get the Sunday paper, so now all I am going to do is make a little bacon & eggs to get my day off to a wonderful start & sit back with my Buddy Don Carlos III , about Noon I will be picking up my mother in law & the 3 of us will be going to the Maple fest at Bradys Run state park, I hope to be able to eat a pancake or 2 along with a buckwheat cake or 2 with the maple syrup they make right there in the park, & bring home a bottle to enjoy with some sweet potato's & country ham , I do enjoy the real maple flavor some of the syrups in the super market that say maple are just flavored , only 2 to 3 % is real maple syrup the rest is corn syrup & artificial flavoring .

The cigar sales are slow but moving in an upward sprial , but I am still putting more money in the gas tank than I am making hahahahaha, but with the price of gas @2.59 & the area I cover, it is a wash ! , well it gets me out of the house & out from under Barbs feet & she has no idea how many cigars i smoke or how much coffee I drink , I dont have any scotch when I am supposed to be "working" hahahaha

Monday evening is the school talent show, so I will be there to watch & listen to the "entertainers" of tommarow , Grandson #1 will play a beethoven selection & grandson #2 said he isnt going to dance this time, he wants to watch from the bleachers not from back stage , I think he is tired of being the only boy in the dance glass, but he is only 8 , in a few years he will be the envy of evry boy in his class at school, , lifting & holding all the girls , having them rubbing up against you .................... , dammm wrong forum for this hahahaha !

well I am almost out of Kona , Don Carlos is calling & I need to get dressed to get out of here by 11:30.
Enjoy the rest of your Sunday
Vince

Ahhhhhh yes, here we are on a sunny Sunday morning, with the clocks all fixed, except Ambacks. The sun is shining, the garlic is flowing through my system, after making my burgers last night, the hippo cat is still alive at nearly 18 years old, and my body is recovering nicely from the marathon yard work session on Friday. Fu and Cian are still MIA, but we wish them all the best.

As for maple syrup, I had pancakes yesterday, and I'm running low. I have to call my friend the maple syrup farmer in further upstate New York and get a new shipment. I usually order three gallons or so at a time. I get it wholesale, yippeeeeeee!!!

I have to go replace a couple of gutter guards in the back, wayyyyyy up on the high ladder today. I don't have the courage to do that, but I don't have the money to ask someone to come over and do it, so I'd better lose my fear of heights once and for all. I saw a couple of doves that looked like they were building a nest in the gutter yesterday, and I said, uh, oh, it's time to fix that problem. It's been like that for weeks. They blew out during the fierce winds we had during mid-February and mid-March.

Have a great one everyone! If I have a cigar, I'll be back to let y'all know.

I had a Jose Marti Cuba Libre from a bundle I bought a few months back. Mild and smooth with nice construction.
