Sunday April 30 2006, Goooooood morning to all you cigar smokers out there , it is Sunday & time foir the Sunday Morning Smoke , I didnt have my usual Don Carlos III this morning , I dont know what came over me but I had a Fonseca 2-2 maduro with the Kona this morning, a little smaller than the Don Carlos , but a nice change for the day, I made a ham & cheese omlet for the wife & my self to split this morning for breakfast , & before we had a chance to have a second cup of coffee her mother called , Now by this stage of my life I didnt think I would still be dealing with my mother in law, by rights & the insurance age chart she should have been just some one to visit on Mothers day & other days of Family rememberence , , , yea I know I sound hartless & cruel, I Know I will be in the same boat she is in with in a few years my self, But I have worked hard all my life & I want to enjoy my retirement & working part time to stay busy, not taking care of my mother in law, she has the wife all upset & as you all know when she is up set , NOTHING ever is right with the rest of the world, she is the center & every thing revolves arround her ! ( in her opinion) but as they say opinions are like @$$holes , every one has one !
well I have a lot on my plate today, I am picking up a buddy for a cigar at noon & we will head to an other buddys place for more cigars & coffee today, I just hope my wife stays off the phone with her mother, if she dosent I will have a basket case when I get home, dammmmm the old farts can really push the guilty feeling button on the wife , he dad did the same thing, before he got his "reward" or his punishment , what ever he got it was for the best I guess ! well I degress & since I am almost ready to walk out the door & better get back to the Sunday morning posting here !!
I will be stopping at the "On the Boarder" for take out this afternoon, I just to dammmmm lazy to cook today & a plate of natural gas ( refried beans & rice) with a little hot sauce on the side is just what I need today hahahaha ! maybe a few shrimp or a enchalada on the side , yea baby. !!!
the gas got cut friday & I am so glad I dont have to do it today, , the walk way lights are are now working thanks to Tom & his tool box , now the boss will find fault with some thing else & want me to fix it , then I break it & call some one to repair my "improvement ", well next time I am just going to call a Pro before I screw the pooch & it costing me more $$$ to fix what I "fixed" & broke even more than it was before ! hahahaha

Well today was special for me since its my Bday...so I opened the humi this morning and grabed an El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme from an ISOM which was given to me in a pif.....this is my first Qban in about 7 years......the anticipation of lighting this jewel was excrutiating it was very toothy and firm and looking at it as I was lighting it and knowing what it was.... was pretty kewl...something I would like to experiance more of......the first half inch was nothing special but wow it developed into something very differant and I could tell I wasn't in Kansas anymore toto :wink:

Good Morning its SUNDAY !!!!!! Again !
It has been a quiet week here in the Burgh, I smoked a" few"
fine cigars this week drank some great coffee & sipped a bit of single malt scotch, dammmm it was a tuff week ! hahahaha it has been cool here in the Burgh & I am enjoying all of it, I haven't uncovered the A/C window unit in the Qtr.Deck yet & I did have the heat on a few evenings , it was down right chilly, My wife picked up a few new Cd's for me , Paul Simon's Greatest hits, Yoyo Ma silk road ensemble & George Winston "Summer" kind of eclectic, but thats just me, I enjoy classical music,& new age , along with Jazz & some old time rock & roll with a touch of Blues , even some Folk music from around the world, nothing stirs the blood like bagpipes with your single malt or the Great American Banjo , puffing your stogy sipping home made whisky ( not that I would ever do any thing like that ! hahaha )Since I belong to the Pittsburgh Banjo Club & own a 4 string Tenor Banjo , note I said own, didn't say play !
I have been having trouble with my mail server, for some reason I cant send E Mail to anyone on Comcast , so it is back to the shop for the computer soon. , well I have a few computer geek Buddy's & I might be able to trade some cigars for computer work !
My wife has put in a request for Chicken salad today & I have 5 chicken breasts in the fridge sitting in an olive oil & lemon marinade , so I will be firing up the grill about 4 this afternoon to cook the chicken , & when they cool it would be time to made the salad . If thats what she wants that is what she gets , That way I "might" get what I want hahaha but I doubt it !
We cut the yard yesterday , it looks Marvelous ! , no pop ups in the yard, no Dandelion's, no leaves on the grass, it looks like a putting green, , with birds swooping in eating the seeds & bugs from the yard,the Bird feeder is getting a lot of action & a few cats have staked out a launch pad to try for the doves on the ground under the feeder !
just as I was finishing with the yard yesterday an old friend stopped, I have seen him & his wife in 15/18 years, we worked together about 7 or 8 years & he left the area to take a better job In Eastern Pa , he has been living I West Lawn Pa ever since, well they were back in the area for a wedding & decided to stop & have a cigar , dammm the time has been good to both of them, Denny has a cheesy mustache now ( he was to young to have hair on his face when we worked together ) & Vicky, well time has done wonders for her WOW, as a young wife she was Cute, but now she is a HOTTIE DAMMMMMMM !, short RED hair, 5 inch spike heals, short skirt & a tight peasant blouse , dammmmmm !!!!!!!
Oh well back to reality
My Daughter just showed up & wants breakfast, Dammm kids I made breakfast 2 hours ago , the boys are with there father , I think they are going fishing today & she was bored siting at home so she shows up to take over my Sunday Morning cigar & posting , the Coffee is KONA ( what else) & the Cigar was a Don Carlos III , I am starting to sound like a Broken record, well I have a Partagas # 10 Maduro for this afternoon or a mayorga high octane , hummmmm , maybe both !
YES DEAR I WILL MAKE YOU SOME EGGS WHEN I FINISH HERE !!!!

Had a Quintero that a got out of one of my Bday packages this morning from ISOM.....absolutley fantastic for such a small ring size 5x37 bellowing rich smoke that was creamy and mellow (by no means mild)....all the way to the last half inch

Sat out on the deck with the Sunday morning paper, a hot cup of black coffee and a Fuente Cuban Corona. Just an excellent beginning to the day. Going to my son's later this afternoon for a BBQ and will be taking an assortment of sticks to share.

YOU MY FRIEND are far from boring , I know that I smoke the same thing Sunday morning, & almost every morning as a kick start to my taste buds, How ever I do smoke a few different things during the day, I did have the Mayorgia H.O. & the Partagas 10 back to back, ( Partagas first, ) & I did switch to Columbian Decalf that you sent, it went great with both !, now I am getting a pot ready to sip later for supper & have a BIG FAT Prodomo 96 vintage Rosado Churchill after the BBQ Chicken I am making for supper & the chicken salad for Barb , for tonights cigar ride I have I have a Masterpiece ! The Master blaster( maduro ) was Great, a little over 2.5 hours & a 20 ounce cup of decaf 8 o'clock coffee, some new age music on the radio & we went about 65 miles on the back roads never went over 50 MPH all night, , this cigar has been in my Humi about 3 years & it was just to good to put down, I finished it in my pipe !, I GOT IT ALL !!!! now it is time for bed & I am so relaxed I will be sleeping in a few minutes after my head hits the pillow, , it was a wonderfull day here in the Burgh , my daughter invited her self for breakfast & stayed for lunch , the rug rats went fishing with there dad , & got a few bluegills & a cat fish, they were so happy, when they go it is barbless hooks & everything gets put back in the water, the cat was pissed, he wanted fresh live fish for supper, all he got was a few fingers to lick ! all in all it was a great Sunday , I hope you all enjoyed your selves today I know I sure did !
