Happy Mothers day to all you Mothers this wonderful May 14 06
sorry for the late post , a buddy called this morning asking me to take him to pick up his new Harley , so after I made french toast for the boss I took off , just got back, he picked up his new Street Bob , all in flat black , not my idea of a nice Shiney new bike , but like assholes & opinions, every one has one !
Since it is Mothers day I picked up a yellow diamond for the boss, had it sitting on the table with the box open so she would see it first thing this morning, & just like a little school girl she had tears of JOY running down her cheeks , dammmm I hate it when they cry, dont know if they are happy or sad !??!
well I got a big hug & a wet neck from all the blubbering she was doing, ! I guess she is happy ?????
the Pot Roast is on & the morning cigar was a great little Cuban corona Jose L. Peidro & the kona was great with it , I have a mug of Mayorgia right now with a Mayorgia High Octane corona, there is a big OPUS X Churchill with my name on it for after the pot roast,the grandsons are with there Dad in W.Va. camping out & fishing this weekend, doing what ever they want to do she it is QUIET here for Mothers day , & I have no idea where my daughter is , she had the weekend free so she is painting her nails sleeping late & not answering the phone, so that makes it realllllllly quiet !
I had a weeee dram of Scotch sitting here but some how the snifter is now empty, dammm did it evaporate that fast, , next time I will add a splash of water so it takes longer to disapear !!!
We are going to the mother in laws about 6 pm tonight I hope it is not raining, I can stay outside & have a cigar, if it is raining I will be forced to go in dammmmm , nothing I like better than talking to an OLD lady who has no idea who I am , my wife & her sister are goinbg to join an altzhimers support group, they sure do need it, the old lady is driving them nuts , of all the things she can remember its my phone number , 9 calls yesterday , so I talk to her & have the same conversation 9 different times , we took the car keys off of her a few moths ago, & she is still looking every whare for them, every day we tell her I have the keys here & I forgot to leave them when I took the car to have the oil changed & 9 times she called asking did I know where her keys were ! dammmmm , I hope some one shoots me before I get like that !
we are just a few days from the Cigar crawl, it starts this Friday night & will end some time Sunday , IF I can keep up with the young lions, I am the oldest guy on the bus , & last year I was still going strong long after a few of the young lions crashed , NO STAMINIA at all, you need to pace your self, like when the young bull said to the old bull, lets run down to the field & hump a cow, the old bull said no we will walk down & do them ALL. , well some of the young guns started out like it was a sprint hahahahahaha, I just moseyed along with my cigars coffee & scotch ( & a bit of my home brewed brandy ) & by midnight I was ready to go to the strip club, , I had a pocket full of singles & was looking for a nice dancer to tuck it in her G string, but the young guys were drunk & sleepy, what a waist of time they would have been at the club, & I didnt want to go alone, so I just had an other cigar & hit the scotch one last time & went to bed , UP & at them Sunday morning , a breakfast of eggs bennidict & some brandy to get the heart in gear for the day, & my Young friends were all hung over & sick. dammmm Oh well they will learn with age I hope !! I am siked up for this crawl, looking for some old stale cigars in the bargin bins of all the places we stop ! hahahaha , well I have a cup of coffee getting cold & a cigar that needs some fire set to it , have a great mothers day & drive save , dont hit a bump & spill your drink ! hahaha Enjoy, Vince

this coming weekend is the CIGAR CRAWL we start Friday with a round of golf ( but I dont golf, so I just sit on the cart & drink ! ) then it is off to Quaker steak & lub for wings , Lords Tobacco in New Willimington Pa,for wine tasting & cigars then back to the hgotel to smoke at pool side & keep the buzz going from all the drinking on the golf cart. , to bed ! , Up early Saturday , Eggs bennidict for breakfast ( a tradition ) & a bloody mary, ( got to keep the buzz going ) , & as the tour bus pulls up to the hotel, I break out the end of the Brandy , evey one gets a sip as they board the bus, & we are off to our first stop , Penn Ohio cigars in Sharon Pa , last time I was there they greated us with Mamasosa's as we got off the buss , nothing like a champagne buzz at 9 AM !, after shopping we get back on the bus to Cordys Cigar box in Ohio, Partaking a few sips of expresso & a little cookie or 2 we shop some more & take a little hit of the brandy to add flavor to the expresso . , then it is off to Havana house, buy more cigars some coffee beans & a few bottles of vintage red wine
( some of the base for next years brandy ) then to lunch at a fine place called Alberinis ( I hope I spelled it right ) a few single malts with lunch & back on the bus to Klafters in New Castle Pa , shop till you drop & then back on the bus to Alleghney smoke works in Blawnox Pa , the Macanaudo bus will also be there so it will have a full parking lot for sure , food & drinks are the norm at all stopps & by now the travel toilet on the bus is getting funky , & the bathroom at ASW has a line !, well whenwe are done drinking,smoking & acting a fool, we get back on the bus for a trip to Station Square for out dinner at the grand concourse & a quick stop at Poor richards cigar shop at the station , by the time dinner is over all the door prizes are passed out & a few of the crawlers have passed out , we get back on the bus for our ride back to the hotel , it is now about midnight , I have the better part of a quart of booze in me , am on my 10Th to 15th cigar of the day & still have a 90 minute ride home if I have spent all my cash & dont have enough for a room the second night ! , , it is a great time & we will do it again next year , this is NUMBER 8 , check out our web site http://www.cigarcrawl.com , maybe next year we will need to charter 2 busses ! Ahhhhhhhh, the famous Cigar Crawl. I've been reading about this magnificent event since the year 2000, and it's never a dull read. It seems like the most fatigued thing after the Crawl is always the toilet on the bus. :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh:

That cause I have learned to pace my self, dont go crazy all at one time, just a few steps closer to the line at each stop & rest on the bus between stops , the INFAMOUS power nap !, with a lit cigar in your mouth will do wonders ! !! hahaha Enjoy, Vince

Dammmm young kids cant hang with the OLD MASTERS , or is that B@$T@RDS ) hahahahaha, last night on the bus back to the hotel they were all sleeping , I just fired up Number 12 for the day ( a Camacho SLR Churchill) , sipping black coffee & sipping 17 YO single malt , dammmm kids have 2 beers with dinner & fall asleep , Dammmm what are they going to do when they theyget old ! , OH , BTW Happy Sunday to all from the Day after the Western Pa Burghhefers Cigar crawl , it is in the history books now & will be on the web soon ! , it is 11:58 here in the burgh & to make this a Sunday MORNING POST , I will stop now & add more later ! I'M BACK , hahaha, welkl it is Sunday afternoon, I have had breakfast & lunch & am on the second pot of coffee, the first one was Kona , this one is Kenya AA , well lets get back to yesterday , we started out about 8:30 am after a weeeee sip of Brandy , I started the morning with a Mild Licencodos Churchill, & we were off to Penn Ohio cigar shop in Sharon Pa , , verry nice people there , donuts & coffee were on the house & collectively we spent about $3500, I got a gew cigars but I didnt go for a box , I did get a nice bottle wick to put in a wine bottle 7 turn it in to a candle, just fill it with lamp oil & put in the fiberglass wick & it will last forever so the man said ! , back on the bus to a place in Ohio, Havana House, we loaded up on fresh roasted coffee beans , I got Kawi Blue , will be grinding it Monday morning !
I split a box of Camacho Libertys 2005 with a buddy & picked up one Opus X to be saved for next years crawl, I added it to the Opus Humi , it is almost full, So I better stop aging them & start to smoke more of them.!!!!!
Back on the Bus & we went to lunch , it was OK, but they needed to brighten up the bar area, A Bunch of guys all smoking cigars, need enough light to see to read the menu, it was all set on Mood lighting for the singles on the Prowel , the only thing we were prowing for was boooooooze & cigars , But if Mamie van Dorn propistioned me I might have changed my mind( for you young Guys , thinks of Pamala Anderson , bigger NATURAL chest , & not as slutty .
Ok we move on to Cordys Cigar Box again in Ohio, expresso on tap, great prices on Davidoff stuff , I had my hands on a 4 pack of Double R's , less than 80 bucks , but I thought long & hard before I put them back & just bought a few Zino Platinum low riders, a few Avo's & some Diamond Crown #5's & didnt break a C note ( again for you young guys a C note is a 100 dollar bill, , the Roman numeral for one hundred is C ) , dammm I fell like I am running a day care center, I had to explain everything to the young lions on the bus . , well we moved on to Klafters In New Castle, Pa.& ran wild in the Humidors , I piced up a box of Masterpieces , but they were Naturals not Maduro, Dammmm, but I will age them a bit & they will be just fine in a year or so . I also pick up a box of Troya Maduro Coronas for 55 bucks , I dont know what the selling price of them is or do I care, this was the brand I smokes uears ago & I havent seen them in a long time , so when I saw them, I grabbed them, the cello was all yellow & cracked on the box & I didnt open it till last night when I got home, a Wondeful Blume has taken hold of a few of the sticks in the box & it will be developing on the rest soon. , well we all had a great time there & then it was back on the bus for the trip to Alleghney Smoke Works & a date with the Macanudo Bus , woppie , well ASW had beer & brats on the grill for us along with Chili, I picked up a few nice sticks & got to BS to a lot of people . then Back on the bus to Station Square , Poor Richards cigar shop & the Grand Concourse for diner , the Lovely Lori Silverman who is a rep for Mimai Cigar was there & giving out hugs & selling cigars , , well we went to dinner , I had some aptisers & soup with about half my salad , I never touched the dinner it self , I will split it with the boss today for supper, & I dont need to cook today & there will be left overs for sure , we got back to the hotel, unloaded out bounty & jumped back on the road for the ride home, I got to bed just a little after 2 am & got back up at 9:30 this morning scrambled eggs with hot pepper cheese & bacon ,& now I think it is time for a fine old cigar that I have saved since the first crawl I went on 8 years ago , it is a Monte Number 1 & I have a pot of coffee ready to go & a snifter of scotch . so it is off to the Qtr.Deck & a fine time , if any one want s to join me, Come on over ! , Enjoy, Vince

Yea baby Joey Heatherton, Great legs, but no chest, to speak of, nothing like Jame Masfield, MM or Mamie, they were real ladys, no plastric breasts, they were REAL & boy did they like to show them off ! I just came in from the Qtr.Deck, a few guys stopped over & we shared to bounty, traded some sticks for ones each other got yesterday, , the humidors are looking just fine ! I like curves, it is fun to use your finger tips to follow the road to ............, well thats for a different board hahahaha
back to the Crawl, I cant tell you when I have had as good a time with all my clothes on !, the bus has a seating capacity 45 & we had 39 show up , the bus pulled out right on time . the stops were all ready for us with coffee donuts , & some distilled spirits & hand crafted beer's later in the day there were grilled brats & hot dogs waiting for us , plus the lunch & dinner stops , I ate way to much, I did get a bit uncomfortable at dinner, so all I had was the soup & salad, I brought the entire entrée & desert home for the boss , I did manage to eat the mushrooms & artichoke hearts on the chicken, the boss isn't a big fan of ether so I was "forced" to consume them before they got cold !
I am sipping a BIG mug of expresso this morning, need a little jolt to get me going, , I am getting old, the legs just dont move as far & as fast as they did in the past, I am finding out what I used to do all night , now takes me all night to do ! , I am a bit sore this morning, , no more showing off doing hand stand pushups hahahahaha ( I havent done one of them since the Navy ! )

my bird feeder is getting a real work out, I fill it & in less than 6 hours it is empty again, 25 pounds of food a week, lots of visits by a lot of birds , the blue jays & cardinals are the most colorful, but the finches, chickadees & wrens all add to the song, the robins stay on the fround & go for the worms & the doves stay under the feeder & eat off of the ground , the starlings just come in & scare off all the birds but the Blue jays , they are not intimadted , they are intimadators !
The pasture next door has been vacant of new veal since Ole Angus McStudd was sold , BUT last night I did hear the bellowing of a new young bull to take ole Angus's place , I havent sean him yet but I did hear the tones that I did hear from ole Angus , but in a different voice , not as old in tone & a bit higher in pitch , But none the less the sounds of baby veal in the making hahahaha ! looking fwd. to see what is in the field this summer !, I was talking to Angus's owner & he told me he sold him so he (the owner ) could retire, now I hear a new bull, I guess he changed his mind about retirement . , time for me to jump in the shower , lots of stuff to do today, like smoke a few new cigars & drink a lot of coffee maybe I need a little hair of the dog who bit me ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince

The pasture next door has been vacant of new veal since Ole Angus McStudd was sold , BUT last night I did hear the bellowing of a new young bull to take ole Angus's place , I havent sean him yet but I did hear the tones that I did hear from ole Angus , but in a different voice , not as old in tone & a bit higher in pitch , But none the less the sounds of baby veal in the making hahahaha ! looking fwd. to see what is in the field this summer !, I was talking to Angus's owner & he told me he sold him so he (the owner ) could retire, now I hear a new bull, I guess he changed his mind about retirement . , time for me to jump in the shower , lots of stuff to do today, like smoke a few new cigars & drink a lot of coffee maybe I need a little hair of the dog who bit me ! hahahaha Enjoy, Vince
