Just checked the official readings for Fishkill. Looks like we had 90 Monday and 89 on Tuesday. The 90 for Monday wasn't even close to the record though, as it was 96 on May 29th in 1969. As far as I'm concerned, 79 would have been too hot. Can you tell that we're heading into The Most UncomfortaBloof Time of The Year? :flush: :help:

Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a sissy when it comes to strong cigars and hot weather. You can have it. I wouldn't be caught dead in Arizona.

:? :? :? HEY, WAIT A MINUTE, I WOULD be caught dead in Arizona.

:eek:mg: :eek:mg: :cryinlaugh: :rotflmao: :eek:mg: :eek:mg: :pumpkin:  :pumpkin: :pumpkin:

I'd like to live in a place where the high was never more than 60. That means the dewpoint could never get higher than 60, and around here, and in the NYC area, it can hit 70 on a regular basis during the summer, 75 a number of times, and when the dewpoint hits 78-82, or ever higher, I might as well just die.

By the way Tex, I'm finally going to ask you something that's going to show my stupidity, how bad my eyes are, and may have you pull out the F-4 warplane emoticon on me, but in your avatar, is that a picture of you, or my favorite college football coach, who also won a Super Bowl and a free porterhouse steak on Jimmy Johnson's coattails?

If that's you, you sure are one good lookin' dude, in the strictly heterosexual, platonic, and manly sense of saying it  , and if it's my man Barry Switzer, Ah sho dun fergot how dang goot lookin' HE was!!! :cryinlaugh: :cryinlaugh: :sm_angel:

Sorry. I don't watch it. I've heard of it, and the guy who played Big Female Genitalia used to be a resume customer of mine, but I don't share America's fascination with the whole thing, y'know. Maybe because I grew up around it, who knows, but I've never seen The Godfather either, and I don't care to. It's just me. Sorry. Sure does look like Barry Switzer from that angle, though.

if any one is close enough to hit the Trivia Pub in Moon Twp tonight , we are going to have a small "smoke in " & welcome Bildo to the Burgh, the pub is right across the street from the main entrance to Robert Morris Univ. , just a few miles from the Pittsburgh Airport !
Enjoy, Vince

June 4, 06 Its Sunday morning & overcast here in the burgh, it was a busy week here, we got my mother in law settled in a nursing home, got her Apt. almost all cleaned out & have had a visit from bildo , attended a little cigar gathering at the Trivia Pub & had a few Fine cigars this past week, all in all it was a gooooooood week , we had some great HOT weather , got into the 90's & now I am sitting wioth a long sleave shirt & long pants on , chilly out side & damp, jst like it should be in da Burgh, wait 10 minuts & if you dont like the weather, what ever you like will show up soon, we have had snow in May a few times that I can remember , but not this year, & now it is June so I hope the snow is done till Oct. or Nov !!
chicken breasts are going on the grill some time this afternoon, & what ever is left over will be chicken salad !
I still have to get rid of my mother in laws car, a 93 lumina , looks just fine , a/c works & it has power windows & all the bells & wistles, tired are good & it has 100K on it, I would keep it but it has a small oil leak & I dont want to do all the work to fix that & I dont want it leaking oil all over my drive way, so if I can get 500 bucks for it , ITS GONE ! , a great summer & winter beater , it has been kept in a garage all its life but for the past 2 years when she was living in a Sr High rise, No garage there . , the last 3 years it is had an average of 3500 miles a year on it, it is sitting more than running , it would make a great car for the wife if it didnt leak, i just dont want to get into the work & find out it is more of a job than I cam do with my limited mechanical ability, I HATE getting my hands dirty & busting up my knuckles ! just let me cook & I am happy !
Cigars International has a new Legend from Graycliff, a fine tasting smoke for sure & am working my way through the box at a stick a day, a less expencive way to smoke a Graycliff , just as tasty as the $22.00 sticks for under $70 a box of 20. they also have a Drew Estes non flavored Legend I have them coming some time this week I think????
I sat out on the deck this morning with my mug of Sunday morning Kona & had a Nicaro Minuto , a nice tasting 5X42 smoke that will get me started on a 5 or 6 cigar day or MORE hahaha it was a bit chilly out there so I took a break & came in to get a little warm ! , I am heading out to the Qtr.Deck for a second mug of Kona & a Rocky Patel Legend , Have a great Sunday everyone !

I wonder what is going on with Fu & Cian ??
Enjoy, Vince

Enjoying a Freedom Press of old reliable Colombian Supremo as we speak. Our weekend has been rainy, overcast when it's not raining and generally in the low 60's. I'm loving every minute of it. The heck with summer. It can stay like this for the next three months. The woodchuck is out and about in the backyard, munching on herbs and wood and stuff. They look so cute, especially through the 6x35 binoculars from the Audubon Society. Happy Sunday, everyone and Cian, wherever you and Fu are. Probably tracking hurricanes on Cian's 300 foot yacht. :sm_angel:

We had a little get together last night around the bon-fire, good friends, good drink, and the grandkid's making smores. Life is good my friend's.
This morning I went out and stirred the fire, got a small one going again. The wife and I sat there with my lab playing in the yard. he kept trying to get me to take him down to the lake for swim and fetch sestion, but I dont feel like giving him a bath today.
Besides that I was puffing on a CAO Brazillia 5x50. I am really starting to like the CAO's. I haven't found any I didn't like yet. Just another great Sunday drinking my Maxwell House, extra strong on Sunday's, having a great smoke and enjoying life.

Vince,
I did a little educated guessing for you on the value of that vehicle(hope you don't mind...)
Put a sign on it for $1,000. Take $800 for it. Stick to your guns!
Even with a little cosmetic/ and or mechanical issue, you should get it.
How many more smokes can you get with an extra $300????

Good luck!

the car looks fine, no rust , runs good, just has a small oil leak & will spot the drive way & my wife will freek out if I mess up the drive way, she is a neet freek, ( what she is doing with a slob like me I will never know, & I dont think I will see any of the money from the sale, it will all go to the care of my mother in law, it is her car, , I was offered 300 for it & told the guy , come up with 200 more its yours, but he wanted to make payments on the last 200, I said sure but the car stays here till I get all the money, he changed his mind about making payments, I am not the bank, , the car is worth a lot more than 500 but I just want to get rid of it . , it is a 94 , Dark red on dark red,, I would like to keep it for the wife, but she dont want the trouble of fixing the oil leak !, hey I just live here I dont get a vote or a say on what is going to happen anytime, place or what ever, she runs the show, UNTILL it comes between me & my cigars, thats the bottom line for me ! hahaha Enjoy, Vince

Monday morning Up date , the UPS man just dropped off a box of Graycliff Legends from Cigars International, wowowowowow, a real cheap way to smoke a Graycliff product,, I wish I had more taste buds to enjoy this stick even more, , the coffee is Mayorgia , & it is to early in the day for Scotch , even for me ! hahaha, I know its 5 PM some place in the world but I am here in Da Burgh & will be going out on the road later today, no need to be in the bag ! hahaha Enjoy, Vince

Yeah, it's around 5 p.m. in Merry Olde Englande, where they are already enjoying their pints of grog. :cryinlaugh:

a Pint of grog would put me on the bar room floor ! hahahaha

the UPS man was here again today, this time it was the drew estates Legends from CI , taste like hazelnut coffee, but way to sweet in your mouth, I cut a second one & set fire to the end I just cut, MUCH BETTER , not as sweet, so now I have had all the Legends from CI, this one was the BEST BOX but the worst smoke out of all of them,( but still not a bad smoke ) & the one I like the best was the Graycliff & it had the worst box, well you dont smoke the box , hahahaha !
