what did you smoke? 2

Cool... As for me I had a PAM Monarca out of a box I recently opened from 2002. These truly do get much better with age. So smooth, so much flavor, and I don't remember when I had a stick burn this evenly. Burnt my fingers on this one. Glad I have many more.

Puros Indios Magnum Maduro. It has been several years since I have smoke a puros indios and I used to be partial to the torpedo. This beast was 6 x 62 I dont care for a cigar larger than a 54 ring. It was too hard to smoke. Decent flavor but I have other favorites.

I've been silent for a while.
I have settled on three non- Cuban firms.
Oliva- Maduro "O".
Caribe- Diploma & Monarca
Padron- 3000

Cubans:
Cohiba- Siglo VI
Montecristo- No. 2 @ & Elmundo
Hoya de Monterey- Double Corona

Others need not apply.

Malone

i am finally getting to the point where i know what i want and don't feel like trying new stuff all the time. Problem is i have hundreds of singles. i will soon be in a position like you malone where my cooler is full of boxes of about 6 different cigars.

I had the most wonderful time with a cigar today in my backyard. It was a 6 year old Cohiba Siglo II. The cigar was just awesome and it made me feel as if time had stopped and nothing mattered. Just an awesome experience.

I just had a C.A.O. Palms and I have to say I thought it would be better. While it started out with loads of flavor, it faded after about 2 inches. I figured for the price I paid I would smoke it to my fingers in case there were any surprises waiting for me.....nope. Any thoughts on this one? Anyone know which tobaccos make up this cigar? The wrapper did look nice. If this was a bad one I have a few more to try, otherwise it will be pushed to the back of my cabinet and forgotten. Another thing I noticed was a very slow burn, it lasted nearly 2hrs.

Tonight there was a party at the local shop, had a Camacho Corojo toro and a Diploma maduro.

I thought I would be safe having had a large dinner.

In a word, no. I was fine after the toro, but the Diploma massacred me. I'm glad a friend was driving...

axegod, I have smoked a few of those palms cigars and have about a box of them at home. I did not care for them very much, picked them up mainly as a collectors item. Here is my thoughts on tobaccos used:

CAO has their cigars made at either the Torano or Perdomo factory. The wrapper was a rich rosado wrapper and resembled a lot of perdomo tobacco I have seen and smoked. It had a nice body and burn but the flavor really never got to be very decisive. Rumor has it that it is a CAO Oddessy with a different wrapper. That makes sense given the size.

i started the night off with a diploma wich was super tasty. then i went with a hot dog :D
After the hot dog i had an opus x
then a padron 1926 #9
then a choix supreme

now its time to decide if im going to go to the bar, which would require another stick :D

I had a RyJ 1875 Cedros No. 2 today. I hadn't had one in a few months and forgot how much I liked it. I need to get some more.

I smoked a "Papa Bruce Lee". It was truley one of the most amazing cigars I have ever smoked. I cant reveal anymore about the cigar then its code name becuase it is still under development and I practically had to sign something before being allowed to smoke it. It was the unbanded surprise cigar thor put into the box pass for whoever took it out.

Lots of flavor and body. This will be an everyday when it is made available. Truly a masterpiece and knowing its origins it will be an amazing cigar with an amazing story. It is going to hard to keep my mouth shut.

i agree macallen, it was me that took it from the box pass and i loved the cigar. can't wait to get some when they come out.

this morning I had a Punch Royal Coronation for breakfast, and I just finished the evening off with a Padron 6000 maduro...first one of these I've had. Very good. Much better than my first Padron experience.

bildo that was you. I hate to admit it but that cigar kind of kicked my ass! I am going to try to convince thor to do a prerelease passout to some of the forum guys to get everyones feedback to see if it is just me that thinks this is one of the best cigars ever. If you like a strong cigar it is second to none.

As for today, I had a davidoff No. 2 this morning and it was a nice smooth smoke. I am really starting to like the sizes I used to never smoke that have a smaller ring. 42-46

im just going to try to get thor to send me another one :rotflmao: :D F-all these guys :neer:
Just kidding.
Today while i was golfing i had a HUGE 8 inch cigar i was gifted but it had no band so im not sure what it was. was pretty good though. i also had a LGC serie R, the really fat one. Didn't want to stay lit for me.

That would be awesome since I didn't even get to see what this bad boy looked like let alone try it!

5/29: Añejo #55 and a Diploma...nuff said!

just finished the Montecristo maduro figurado I took from the box pass. It had a smaller ring than I usually like, but I enjoyed it. I'd like to get some more if I can find them.
