what did you smoke? 2

thats a great idea axegod, someone would probably really enjoy it.

Last night....

Cien Anos Churchill
Fuente Fuente Opus X
Cusano C10 Robusto

mmmm....

It was a good cigar night, I haven't had one of those in a while

after work i had a Choix Supreme from 04. great smoke, its going to be hard to keep them around but i heard they only get better with age.

Poker night last night which always makes for a good time.

Cigar 1: Danli Reserve Corona - These are great cigars, great price

Cigar 2: Padron 40th anniversary - This cigar was rated 94 and cigar of the year for 2004 and I have no idea why. It tasted like a padron anniversary, good but not that good.

Cigar 3: Sol Cubano Maduro Robusto - I have never had a bad one of these. Great everyday cigar.

Cigar 4: Kahlua Corona- I used to like these every once and I while as a change of pace. I only smoked an inch before I realized I dont like them anymore.

the '64 didn't impress me much either, but the '26 is a whole different story. It is hands down one of the best smokes i have ever had. I particularly like the #9 size.

Today was 105 degrees here so there was NO way I was gonna sit outside for a smoke. Even in the shade the air was too hot for breathing. But tonight it has cooled down to 67 and is perfect. I have the fire pit going and my parents as well as my brother and sister are here for the weekend. I cherish these moments I spend with my brother and dad enjoying some fine smokes around the fire. This is sort of a prequel to my annual family reunion in NY which happens in a little over a month from now. The only part of the reunion that I dread is when my parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents sit around and try to outdo each other with stories of stupidity which all of us younger members of the family are guilty of...Funny how they forget to mention all the stuff they got away with in their younger days  Anyway, enough rambling... tonight I've had a '64 Diplomatico from '02 which was amazing, an Opus X RDC with just over 1 year of age on it which burned better than others I've had recently, and a Hemi Masterpiece maduro which started off uneven but proved worthy by 1/3 into the smoke.

 everyone!

thats a very nice night of smokes. I had one of those pre-ban cubans. they are sandwich filler but pretty good

I came back to st. louis for a wedding. Brought along the fiance. I really loved seeing the bride (a best friend from college) but hated the fact that my ex was there and so were all of her friends. All these girls were in the same sorority in college. So after saying my hellos and congratulations, I slipped out the back with an OpusX super belicoso. It was great tasting and as usual crappy burning. But still amazing. :D Now for the long drive home.

Yesterday I had a Honduran Primos Robusto...did not care for it much. Even at $1.50 it really wasn't worth it . On the other hand this afternoon I had a very, very good cigar, one of the best I've ever had...Padron 3000!!! Had to re-light it acouple of times but a truley great cigar. Will stay on my list for sure!!

went golfing and had a honduran primero, and a Drew Estate La Vieja Habana. Didn't like the la vieja, but the honduran primero was pretty good. Then layed by the pool and got some sun and lit up the grill next to the pool. Also lit up a Choix supreme while the charcoal was heating up and the ribs were cooking. What a great day! :D

The only Vieja Habana I've had that was a decent smoke was The Early Years Platinum Star maduro. Out of the 5 I've had only 1 was harsh and burned badly.

3 sticks today:

Cohiba Red Dot robusto which was nice and smooth this morning,
Ashton VSG torpedo which had a tight draw the entire smoke and never developed the VSG flavor, and a CAO Brazilia GOL which I'm happy to say made up for the bad VSG.

I figured I'd update this since we haven't posted in a few days. I had a crazy night up in Hollyweird and the noise from my typing is pounding in my head :banghead:

1. Work of Art maduro which was great with my morning coffee.

2. Camacho Corojo Figurado which had some burn issues 1/2 way.

3. ERDM Choix Supreme. Had it after dinner but I think it might be better earlier in the day. If I get my hands another I'll try that.

4. Añejo 77, which was made even better since it was a gift.

5. Fuente Forbidden X...My first one. I was amazed at how even it burned. The taste was similar to the regular line, but it wasn't as full bodied. I don't know if they age them longer, but it reminded me of an Opus that's been in the humidor for a few years. Although the wrapper began to unravell during the last 1/3, the burn was still fairly even.

In all, it was a great day of smoking (and drinking, and lap dances  ).
Now I need to take a bottle of Tylenol, maybe next time I'll try that "chasers" crap and see how I feel the next day.

5/25

Fonseca Vintage - First one of these Ive had. Too mild.

Camacho Corojo Gigante - :D Enough said.

Honduran Primero Corona - What a great cigar for $1.00

i had the pre-release torpedo from the box pass. excellent cigar with multiple flavor changes. hit the nail direct on the head for what i was craving. when i find out what this cigar is i will be buying some.

Cigar.com Camaroon Robusto....very suprised!! Regardless of price ($2.50), this is avery good cigar. Sweet and smooth right to the end. Best burn I've seen...Will stay on my rotation for sure!!

I find the cameroon label really rivals a lot of the more expensive cameroon cigars out there. I would compare the taste to a don carlos.

smoked a cusano hermano vintage last night. prelight aroma was very good, didnt care for it much though.

just finished a bahiba, it was pretty good. Although i have had better.

"Developed by Graycliff's Avelino Lara, the Cuban-born creator of the original Cohiba cigar, the Bahiba is a blend of Brazilian, Honduran, and Nicaraguan longfill tobaccos, an Ecuadorian-grown Indonesian-seed binder finished with an Ecuadorian-grown Connecticut shade wrapper."- from thecigarhumidor

haven't smoked one, but i have one. I will smoke it tomorrow and give you a comparison
