what did you smoke? 2

Tonight was a good night. I had a few friends over around the fire pit for some reminiscing with good smokes and some Johnny Walker Gold that one of them was nice enough to bring. Too bad he isn't really a smoker otherwise I would have given him something better than the Macanudo Vintage '97's that I have for that sole purpose. Thankfully he put three of 'em out to pasture which only makes more room in the 'dor for quality smokes ...As for me, I had an ERDM Flor de LLaneza natural which wasn't as good as the maduros, and it was a struggle to get a decent volume of smoke out of it, 2nd was an Opus X Fuente Fuente...mmmm, and finally I had the pleasure of a Padron 1964 "A"...I finally opened up one of my samplers...all I can say is 2+ hours of bliss  ! All in all it was a night to remember. I hope all of you had a good night as well.

For the ride home today I had a CAO Brazilia Piranha. Enjoyed the little stick very much. Good easy draw, lots of smoke and nice aroma.

i have a villar y villar because my box of them came today. I don't know where i stand on this stick. It wasn't bad but the ending was pretty young. A year in the cooler will probably fix them!

Yesterday I had a Chateau Fuente sungrown and ended the evening with a Davidoff Aniversario #3 Tubos. Then I had to pick up some friends from Europe from the airport at 1:30 am and did not return home until 3:30. I woke up this morning at 10:30 with a Padron Churchill maduro and lots of coffee.

What were you doing in Tikrit? You in the British Army?

I'm almost down to the nub of a LFD Double Ligero Chisel Maduro that's been sitting in my humi since January. It's mellowed a bit since the last one I had, but it still has PLENTY of balls  . This afternoon I had the displeasure of a Los Patriotas 6 x 50 that I got in a sampler a while back. The only thing good about it was the 2" ash that it held. Even the aroma was terrible. I'll just chalk it up to another one to put on my "never again" list.

You have me confused with Ando, he is the defender of freedom!

Yeah, I hit the wrong quote button.......I've got a buddy in Baghdad....

I should be there but they stuck me in Alaska

One of my uncles was in the army and did his survival training in Alaska back in the 70's, how it it up there?

Yes I'm an officer in the British Army - 2nd Lt James Anderson of the Royal Green Jackets.

Did a lot of our winter training in Alaska - I loved it there, can't wait to go back again this winter!

tonight i had a padron, i forget wich one with a very good steak and a decent beer. it was a very good night. take that and pair it with hanging out at my freinds cabin on whidbey island right on the beach and you got one hell of a night.

Today I smoked a CAO MX2, which to be honest I was a little disappointed with. It burnt a little too fast, and the wrapper started to unravel about half way through. I've got a few more in the humidor so hopefully those ones will smoke better and be closer to my high expectations!

This afternoon I smoked a La Aroma de Cuba churchill. I really enjoyed this cigar, loads of creamy smoke, solid draw, great aroma and flavour, clingy ash and was an incredibly enjoyable experience. Glad I have a few more of these lying around! 8)

since i was at tim's herf i smoked a bunch.... (no particular order)
Zino platinum Sceptor Low Rider
Partagas Party Short
Cupido Tuxedo
Cusano C10
and one or two more i can't think of

Today I smoked a Camcho Corojo Cetros, with a cognac. I was a little suprised. Though it was full bodied, the taste was subtle, without any real spicy flavor. The flavor seem to kick in at the half way point. It never got bitter at all. Overall I enjoyed it very much. What is distinctive about Corojo leaves??

had a cigar roughly the size of a cigarette. i think it might have been a montecristo mini? not sure.

Hoppy, ccorojo leaves are very suseptable to disease which is why they are not grown very often. Camacho is really one of the only authentic corojos and it is distinctive becuase of its seed from the corojo (name of a farm) seeds that came from the farm when it closed down after castro took control. All those seeds where given to the Eiroas of caribe/ camacho.
