What Did You Smoke Today

Nothing yet...and I cant make up my mind what to smoke. I've got a nice southern Partags Lusitania that I'm gonna fire up after church tonight. I'll let y'all know how I like it as its only my second southern cigar ever.

I smoked an East India Masada chruchill yesterday - thanks Freedom Guns - it started out real mild, and finished with a nice spicy bang. I smoked it to the nub!!! :D :D

7 5/8 later and DANG that thing was good. Hands down the best cigar this wet behind the ears cigar smoker has smoked. Beyond my ability to really describe.

Yesterday was a good day. It was one of those rare Sunday's that I get to smoke 2 cigars. In the morning I had a Sol Cubano Conneticut Toro. For a conneticut wrapper, this cigar had a lot of flavour and real nice whole mouth feel. It had a meduim body with a good finish. The smoke itself was toasty nuts and winter spice. A really enjoyable cigar as the burn was near perfect. I didn't have to play with it once. The draw was excellent as well. This is one conneticut that I would be able to smoke regularly.

The second smoke of the day was a Rocky Patel Reo Chairman. This is a real treat for Rocky fans. Its a georgous square press that ahs a good amount of heft to it. Quite a dense cigar. Once lit this puppy puts out wonderfully dark flavours of coffee, coacoa and expresso. The draw was kinda tight, but pretty good. It burned nice and slow and only needed a retouch once. I enjoyed this cigar immensly. I will buy more to be sure.

Had a Sol Cubana Maduro Churchill on the golf course early this morning - that stick is perfect for me. Nice burn and draw - mellow enough with a cup of coffee first thing in the a.m.

Had my first La Gloria Cubana Series R(#4 I think). IMO it was a bit on the wet side, so it had a pretty tight draw, after looking at the cut I can understand why, they packed this thing so full I'm surprised I could draw at all.
Taste wise it was pretty good in the middle it reminded me of the CAO Brazillia I had a week ago. This stick was very smooth, no spice and not a hint of bitterness. Smoke one if ya can.
Regards,
Pic

just finished a Diamond Crown Maximus robusto #5. Not a bad smoke, but not worth the 10 bucks I paid for it.

Updated reviews on my blog for most recent smokes. Good look at some lesser known brands and my first look at the Rocky Patel Old World that will not be in stores until next month.

Stay tuned for pics from my trip to Honduras.

I been working in your nieghborhood......around oslo and 27th ave.

Had a sol cubano robusto this morning...truley a pleasurable maduro and a compliment to me cup of french vanilla coffee

Started my round with a K Hansotia Signature 101 - nice smoke - pretty smooth. Then finished off the round with a Sol Cubana Maduro - I can't believe how good that stick is - especially for the price! Normally I have it with coffee - but it was good with a cold bottle of water.

Well i'm a GC Wolf and do many phases of construction but at the moment i'm doing some concrete patio work along with some screen rooms and aluminum car ports in your area

That's pretty cool.
How late do you generally work? We should meet up for a smoke. I'm busy tomorrow evening, but Thursday and Friday I think I'm free. Fridays I go to the Pipe Den around 4:30 or so and smoke with a few other fellas.

Torano Tribute Torpedo

A very nice cigar. Nice construction but a little bit of an uneven burn. That might have been the placement in the tray though. Very enjoyable and would definitely smoke again--if somebody else buys. They're about 12 bucks a stick and there's just so many more like it for less.

Alex, I just read some of your blog and although from everything I read we enjoy a lot of the same cigars though I loved the RP Olde World I had and the Edge lite is one of my favorites. I had the first blend of the Olde World though. Is that what you had too?

Quagmire,

The original was taken back and reblended as their were some problems. The one I smoked was the new blend that will hit stores in a month or so. It is not that it was a bad cigar, it was just too smililar to some other things I smoke so I could not get excited. However, I know what you enjoy and think it will be right up your alley. The edge lite was pretty dissapointing IMHO. I may have just had a bum stick though. It had runway speed but never got off the ground.
