What Did You Smoke Today

I smokes a Cusano 18 Connecticut Toro I was gifted today. It was just good. I can't say much more than it was really good and I enjoyed it very much.

after recomending a c.com cuban label to kuzi....I just grabed one out of my humi thats been there about 4 months and all i can say is fantastic....worth 3 times what they cost

awesome stick for ANY money

I smoked an REO by Rocky Patel and thought it was very good. It started off with some burn issues, which were probably my fault since it is tough to see that torch flame in broad daylight, but it corrected itself nicely. It was very smooth and I am definitely going to buy some more.

ill give the cuban label a try... couldnt hurt.

so far the best daily mild to medium smoke is the Free Cuba churchill. i can deal with that.
im not just looking for mild to medium. I actually prefer medium to full. But I also like choices. If i feel like smoking a mild cigar for a week i wanna do so.
My favorite medium to full flavor daily stick(s) include
Sancho panza double maduro
cusano P1

I had a Cusano P1 when I got home tonight. Very tasty and enjoyable cigar. I'll most likely buy some more of these.

Cusano 18 Maduro. I found it bland. The last one I smoked was really good. Also had a Punch Gran Puro.

RP sungrown toro or robusto or RP connecticut or c.com cuban label (most reasonable)

Stick

Sungrown is probably going to be tough to get. They have gained a good following recently and haven't been made in about 4 months. They won't be rereleased for until at least the end of the month. If you want a shorter smoke, the sun grown tins are nice and more likely to be in stock. I've never had a connecticut but enjoy the EDGE Lites a lot. They're similar to the Monte White IMO.

Here's to the Sancho Panzas! They never seem to get as much praise as I think they deserve. The whole line is excellent, especially for the price (though I think I'd still smoke them from time to time if they cost 3 times as much). I really like the Extra Fuertes, but the Double Maduros are definitely my fav.

Tomorrow I will be at the track for the derby. I will be taking a couple of cuban label's and a 5 Vegas "A" and a CAO Brazillia. Now if my long shot ,Steppenwolfer, wins, places,or show's, my stash will be alot better.
I really like those cuban label's. Even if the price wasn't as good as it is.
Anyone putting money on the derby, consider Steppenwolfer as a long shot. That is a good looking horse.

5 Vegas and a Southern Monticristo. The Monticristo was my first of that sort and was the finest cigar I've ever smoked. I've been ruined becuase I have no idea how I will now meet the needs of my appetite of what I just smoked created. <sigh>

smoked an Edge Missle Maduro tonite for the first time. I like Rocky's cigars overall, and this one did not fail me. I didn't find it overpowering, good body, good draw, a nice short smoke to start off the night at the lounge.
THEN, I had one of my old all-time faves, a La Gloria Cubana Wavell. Now I bought a box of these back in (cough-cough), and I guess I have only 4-5 left. They have been sleeping peacefully, but get looked over on a day to day basis by me (especially with all these doggone PIF's flying all over  ).
I found this smoke very pleasant, lots of smoke, and had that ISOM kind of aroma and flavor, earthy. Maybe some of the nmostalgia of smoking these babys in the past factored in too, but there was just a teeeennnnyyyyy little nub left when I finally had to put that soldier down for the last time..... that LGC brought me luck too, I won 4 out of 5 games of pool....(now if only I was a wagering man...)
The Daddy

Tonight was a big cigar night for me, like the first Friday of most months is. The first Friday of the month is my local shop's cigar "tasting". Ie- free smoke, free wine, and some snacks. Generally speaking the wine's cheap & the snacks are first rate. The smokes are usually in the $4-8 range, though the higher priced sticks usually only come out if they have a sponsor. Tonight it was Alec Bradley. After the Alec Bradley Havana, I stuck around and had a couple more sticks. Next up was a Perdomo vintage 1991 maduro- I think it was a corona, followed by a Camacho Corojo Churchill. I find a Camacho to be a good third smoke of the evening- strong enough to stand up to whatever else I've been smoking with relatively few exceptions, and inexpensive enough that it's not too much of a waste on a dirty palette.
I'm not sure if I'm done for the night yet. I had some coffee at the tasting, so I may be up a while yet. I might have to break out a Flor de Oliva maduro.

I have not had One cigar all week... Just to busy at work, then to tired at home... that is going to change tonight. I think a PSD 4 in the agenda.

Don Pablo's

Received a box of Don Pablo Corona's this morning from a friend who was in Vegas. I was very excited when opening them because I could smell them through the cellophane. They smelled strong of black walnut, took one out and rolled between my finger's. Very moist and no lumpy veined wrappers. Took it outside with the dog to let him run a little. Lit it up and immediatly tasted an earthy nutty flavor. Toward the middle it got a little peppery and finished very smooth and tasty.
I will now have to get another humidor to haold all my sticks now. It's crazy how as, Motion123 pointed out to me, a hobby can so quickly become a passion. I have been missing out for years, because of what grand-daddy smoked. Wish he were still here so I could give him some good smoke's.

RyJ Cedro Deluxe No. 2. Nice even burn. It keeps a really long ash. Nice smoke overall.

Had my first Camacho Corojo last night, nice stick, had the longest ash I've seen and still wouldn't ash, it seemed to defy gravity.
I'm thinkin it'll go into my favs catagory, I need to try me a diploma next.
Regards,

Smoked a Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8 I was gifted....Thanks. I was a bit rushed so i didn't get to finish it but I did enjoy the 3/4 of it smoked. Had a very tipical Fuente flavor. Very good.

Friday I smoked a PSD4 while walking around Haight and Ashbury.
It was windy so it burned slightly uneven...but it tasted great!

Yesterday I smoked a Monte #4 and cigar "E" from corojobrad while hanging out with some friends at the civic center.
