What Did You Smoke Today

Yesterday I smoked two Punch Gran Puro's. Fantastic cigar, my top choice right now.

I smoke an RP 2nd today while doing some yard work. I abused that cigar thouroghly, and it just kept coming back for more. Excellent smoke for a good day!

I just got one of theose new Acids from the Acid rep. I dont know what I am going to do with it.

Today I had a MonteCristo Grande Tubes, and a Cohiba Red Dot Toro.

I liked the Cohiba a lot more. I found that it had a smoother draw than the MonteCristo.

As for flavor, Im still working on my palate but I am pretty sure I caught a subtle hint of cedar from the cohiba.

Capt,
I'll find that Acid a good home...I actually like a "perfume stick" once in a while...oh well, what are ya gonna do...

I actually smoked a bit tonite, had somewhat of a sit-down at Mahogany in Center City Phila. It's a bar/cigar lounge above the Holt's Cigar store. Met a few of our bretheren from CW, and I smoked a Perdomo2 Perfecto, and a little San Cristobal De La Habana that was very graciously gifted to me. Let me tell you those CW guys are the real deal, at least the 2 I met. Tim and Bill were super cool, great conversationalists, and kept shoving ISOM smokes at me. It was a pleasure to meet them both, true BOTL, and very stand up.
Ok, that's all I got.

for breakfast I smoked an Arturo Fuente Breva (a favorite)with my coffee

,,then had one of my yard work sticks,,,a Quarum (not too bad,,,for the money. makes me appreciate the good ones,,,lol)

then for supper tried CAO criollo (also very good) with a beer

Eli, was that a Victor Sinclair Bohemian, with the curly tail and twisted cap? Or is it the curly cap and twisted tail? Hey, I'm twisted, but anyway, about that Bohemian, if it's the one I tried recently, yes, a very, very, surprisingly tasty, and interesting cigar.

Hey Bloof, yes it was the VS cigar with the pigtail. I really enjoyed it. I'm gonna have to look into getting some more of those to stash away.

Yesterday was the first Saturday I've had off in about as long as I can remember. I slept in then decided to reach deep into my humi and pulled a Bolivar gold medal. It smoked long and slow. I was suprised by its strength, thing had some kick to it. Not 5 min. after I had nubbed the Bolivar and set my book down the mailwoman dropped off a box that turned out to be a great gift from Cakes. Seeing how I was gifted a cigar I've been looking over a year I decided to do what any cigar lover would....smoke it. I cleared my pallet with a nice glass of ice water then grabbed my book and sparked up the AVO LE05. It burned perfectly, had a nice medium body, and let off creamy notes of vanilla and spice. Both great cigars, a treat to smoke.

I just finished up a Rocky Patel Connecticut from a PIF (thanks DevilDog), which was pretty much just right for a Sunday morning smoke. I think DD is trying to get me to smoke more cigars in the morning... he sent me a buch of Connecticuts. Most of the time I prefer stronger cigars, but early in the day I tend to favor lighter smokes.
At any rate, the RPC was smooth, tasty, had a great draw & burn, and made tons of smoke. Basically a flawless typical Connecticut. I think I'll need to get some more so I can find out of that's typical.

Yesterday I managed to fit three cigars into my schedule:

Arturo Fuente Don Carlos robusto
PAM 64 Exclusivo
Bolivar PC

They were all great, with minimal uneven burning.

A box of Padron 1964 Imperial natural just turned two years old today in my humidor so I just had to smoke. Absolutely increadable.

I finished the afternoon with a rocky patel vintage 1990. Also a pleasure.

Sparked up a La Aurora Preferidos Gold. It was a toung tingler. I enjoyed it, though not as much as the Platimun or Red

I smoked a nice little cigar yesterday afternoon. It was an R. Gomez cigar. I am not sure on the true size but it seamed like a petit robusto. The wrapper was a dark one, but i don't think it was a madurobut it could have been . It was not as sweet as most maduros are. This thing was dark and goey. Kind of like a CAO brazilia, but not as complex. It had a great coffee and chocolate flavour. The burn was kinda uneven, but it didn't effect the draw too much. Overall an enjoyable cigar. I think I am starting to really like darker cigars.

Saturday at my partner's wedding I smoked an AVO No. 9 - it was real nice, and then afterwards a ERDM Choix Supreme - that has to be my in my top 3 of cigars.

Not a bad night. I got home and put a cup of Honduran coffee on that I just opened from my last trip to Honduras.

1. Vibe Robusto
2. Gurkha Legend Petit Torpedo (this was a non production size gifted to my by Kaizad 4.5 x 60... a little monster)

Yesterday after a long day at work I had to have a cigar on my ride home. Luckily I still had an Ashton Heritage Corona Gorda. This is one nice looking cigar. Oily and tan leather in color. Nice weight and balance. Wonderful pre light smell. A true dominican pleasure. Upon the light, light cocao and toasty aromas. A true medium bodied cigar. This is not the best cameroon that I have had but a very good one. Nice draw and an even burn. Then things started to go downhill. I noticed a crack in the wrapper. It probalbly occured on Sunday when it was in my cargo shorts pocket and my daughter tried to sit on my lap. I said not that one but she had half started to get on my lap and I pushed her away to try and save my smoke. I moved it to the other pocket and let her continue to sit on my lap. So I think that is where the crack occured. So as I began to smoke it I noticed the crack starting to grow and the wrapper begining to unravel. I start to panic and begin to lick the wrapper and try to get it back in place but I'm losing the battle. I continue to smoke it, and the burn is still fine. The binder is not moving or unraveling. In fact it is working just fine as a wrapper itself. As I continue to smoke the wrapper begins to burn off where it falling off and as I burn down more, the wrapper does not continue to unravel. By the time I got half way done the crack is gone and the stick is back to normal. I can't believe my luck that the cigar corrected itself. About 5 miutes into it I thought that I was gonna have to toss the sucker, but I turned out to be a fine smoke.
