What Did You Smoke Today

I had a Punch Gran Puro yesterday, and a La Aurora 1495 the day before that. The Gran Puros are a must for a box purchace, and the 1495 was really tasty, but too expensive to smoke often.

Had a Gurkha Regent toro and a Fuente Hemmingway Short Story on the golf course.

Only 1 relight problem on the Regent, probably due to letting it sit too long during my 7-stroke hole. :x

Padron Aniversary 1926. I loved this cigar. I am going to go and get a box today. Fantastic burn. great flavor.

A box of 1926?!

Damn man, you must make too much money or something. I can only afford a couple of those babies!

If you do get that box, PM me. I would like to trade a few for some Opus...

I smoked a La Flor Dominica Ligero tonight. I must say I was very let down. This smoke started off kind of mild but with an intersting flavor. After the first inch it went down hill. The cigar got that sour immature flavor that overpowered the nutty light flavor it was developing. When i smoke a cigar called ligero I expect some power. I was let down by the lack of flavor and the over powering sourness that made me lay it to rest after just 2 inches. I'm not one to put a cigar to bed early, but I gave it a chance and smoked a sour inch to boot. I would not reccomend this smoke....shame that it was expensive too.

Good luck finding a box. You are looking at upwards of 450.00+ for a box. I have a box of PAM #6 from July of 2004. They are turning two this month! I have only smoked one, and gave one out at the sit-down.

On another note, after an extremely long 48 hour shift, I arrived home at 8 am and decided to raid the humidor. I pulled out a La Aurora Sapphire from last year. Great smoke, it went great with a cup of light roast Bokar. What a great way to start the day!

It was not the Double Ligero, just the Ligero. It was an L-300. I picked it up as a single from my local shop and gave it a month to rest...

Started the day with a Short Story (thank you Brenda!) and a cup of Montecristo Havana Blend Coffee (thanks Paul!) What a great way to start the morning.

After lunch I had a RASS that was very, very nice. Ahhhhhh, what to smoke tomorrow?!

It was a long weekend at work so after I got home last night I parked myself on my porch with a good book and smoked
CAO CX2 and a Camacho SLR Maduro. Nothing keeps the bugs awaly like a nice cigar. The CX2 was very good but took some effort to keep the burn even, the Camancho was just ok.

Sunday I went a little bit overboard. :D

Had an RP Edge Corojo in the morning while watching England barely beat Ecuador, after lunch I smoked a Gurkha Genghis Khan Toro, late afternoon I lit up a Hemingway Classic and then later that night after dinner I sat in front of the tube watching Deadwood and smoked a CAO Brazilia Amazon.

My kind of Sunday I tell ya! I also checked out a new cigar store in town and found some RP Vintage in tubes, never knew that such a thing existed but plan on going back and buying up a few to put away for long term purposes.

Today after class I watched Italy-Australia from earlier and lit up a CAO Italia Piazza. The cigar was great, but I hope Italy has a better game against the Ukraine on Friday...at the very least I hope they keep all their players on the pitch.

FORZA AZZURRI!

Yesterday was a Drew Estates La Vieja Habana. It was well constructed and has a decent burn. It was a good cigar, but did not stand out from the croud.

Yestrerday I was dying for a cigatr for the ride home. Just one of those kinda days. I stopped at a shop around the corner from my office. It it wasn't for lack of other shops I probably would not go back to this one. The shop keep just gave me a rough "uh" when I said hi. What a lousy way to run a business. Anyways I really needed one. So I went in the walk in humidor and found an Onyx Mini Belicosa Maduro. I grabbed him and a soda and ran for the door. Nice pre light aroma, not too heady, but a good prefume. Excellent construction. The Burn was great, the flavour was nice, but a little light for my taste. Still enjoyable. The draw was good, and I smoked him to the nub. A real good cigar. I'm sure it would have been better if I gave it some time to relax in my humidor and down to a proper RH of around 65-68.
