What Did You Smoke Today

I got a late start today and I am smoking my morning AF Hemingway Best Seller at 4pm instead of 9-10am. Later tonight I think I may be in the mood for something mild and will torch a Cusano 18 Robusto.

Well, didn't get a chance to smoke anything today, but what did I buy today? A few good ones:

Cusano 18 Robusto
Cusano C10 Corona
AF Cuban Corona Maduro

Had my first AF Hemingway courtesy of Wolfy - THANKS WOLFY! It was tremendous. Decided to have it before golf so I could relax and pay it the attention it deserved.

Then I had a Punch Rare Corojo Pita - After a little over a month in the humidor it smoked real nice.

Tomorrow - a Cusano 18 I think.

8/10- Short Story

8/11- Punch Champion--pungent little thing, but in a good way. Very much enjoyed it and tough to beat at 3.50 a stick. Also had an Edge maduro torpedo. Great to the nub.

Good ol' Murphy's Law Bob. Something I've accepted a long time ago with astronomy. A good example was back in '96: I was planning to take astrophotos of Columbia hooked up to the space station...it was supposed to pass over my house at 05:20 est. Not even 10 minutes before the flyover, the clouds rolled in and shot my plans to hell
A Short Story in the morning

Thursday eve 8/11..Padron 4000
Both my brother are into astronomy...its more of a passing thing for me but its fun. I actually have my youngest brothers telescope at my house. Maybe I should blow the dust off it...hmmm...or...maybe I should invite my little brother over to view the heavens. That way, he will bring beer...Damn...I'm good

Had my morning Short Story this morning, after mildly torching my hand.

Have a CAO Extreme Belicoso ready for this afternoon.

My victory cigar after golf was the Cusano 18. I plan to have an edge Corojo at the PGA on Sunday thanks to my new friends on this board.

CAO Brazilia amazon. Tempermental thing though. Tough draw and must have had to relight and even it out 20 times. Good smokes previously but this was crap. The taste was OK but but everything else was bad. I even almost choked on it after nearly inhaling it trying to get it going again.

I smoked a CAO Black Gothic this evening on our covered backdeck and enjoyed the light rainstorm we were having. Nice smoke, first time I tried these. Very smooth and creamy. I could almost taste a touch of cinnamon, or maybe I was hungry for desert, who knows, ha.

Yea thats it. I could taste something but I couldn't quite place it. It did have almost a liquorice taste to it.

Cusano C10. WOW! I enjoyed this alot. Smooth and mild with a touch of spice. I plan on picking up a box tomorrow.

Don't you hate that quag? It happens sometimes though. Sometimes astick with bad construction slips through because everything LOOKS fine, but smoking it is a whole different issue. I hate it especially if it is a cigar that I really like because you really look forward to it.

Yeah Jeffrow, Cusano makes some great smokes at great prices. You may want to hold off on buying a box for a while though because they are coming out in Robusto size soon. You should also check out the Cusano 18 which is a mild but very flavorful smoke and the Cusano Corojo which is a full bodied smoke but still very smooth. Both of them sell for about $4-5 a stick so they won't break your pocket.

I don't know how many times I have said this, but Cusanos, in my opinion, are the best cigars out there as far as cost vs quality.

I will take you up on that. I will buy a cusano 18 today. Thanks for the info.

Speaking of Cusano, I just finished up a Cusano C10 - definitely a good smoke. Definitely see more of those in my future!

Calibus,
I couldn't resist buying a box of Cusano C10. I also bought and smoked a C18. But I didn't enjoy it as much as the C10. But overall not a bad smoke.

Smoked these yesterday - PGA Final Round

Before I left - a Baccarat Luchadore with a cup of coffee on my office steps. 40 minutes of quiet with a cigar - very very mild but it was 5:20 am.

9:00 at the PGA - after breakfast had a bottle of water (it was brutally hot!) and a Griffins 300 under an oak tree watching the pros tee off at the 4th hole. This was temendous - smooth cigar, burned well and very relaxing.

2:00 Under a pine tree on the 18th fairway. Found a rock right under that tree and took a Punch Rare Corojo Pita and a beer. Sat there for 45 minutes and watched Tiger putt on the 4th and the early golfers come through with their second shots on the 18th. Smoked that baby to the nub and burned my fingers - it was worth it.

Never got the chance to finish the day with the Edge by Rocky Patel because the thunderstorms came through around 3 and we decided not to wait it out and go home.

All in all - a tremendous day with a lot of cigar smoking.

smoked the new graycliff chateau grand cru that was unveiled at the show last week. It is supposedly going to be the most expensive cigar of the line which means it will be super $$$$$

I was not impressed with the cigar. It was very earthy and chewy. About halfway through it became to bitter to smoke.
