What Did You Smoke Today

Well boys, it went up to -15 today, so I celebrated with that nice little Fuente! An excellent smoke with lots of flavor!! I also finished the CI Legends Orange, and must say it held its own! But boy it was hard keeping them both burning properly! Such is life in the cold north!

Tonight I had my first cigar in a while. The selection was an 06 Bolivar Royal Corona. It was a creamy smoke with lots of flavor.

San Cristobal southern. Outstanding smoke. Perfect burn lots of smoke nice woody, carmel flavors. Great flavor and good body. Loved it.

enjoyed my first la aurora ltd ed rubst tonight while on chat. WOW what have been waiting for. Great smoke from start to finish.

I had a Torano Virtuoso. It had a bit of a tight draw and a metallic flavor. I thought it was just a bum cigar so I set that down and had a RP 1999 PC. That had a better draw but had that same hot, bitter metallic taste. Just an off night I guess. I don't think all the spanish cedar I've been inhaling lately has helped either.

i may be wrong, but i think i heard that the dust from spanish cedar is very toxic. a dust mask may be a good idea.

...or this was some joke that i just missed. I do that a lot.

Last night I had a AF Sungrown Cuban Belicoso. This was one that has been in my humidor for a few weeks. The draw was pretty tight. I didn't get much flavor out of it except for some woody notes.

Punch Rare Corojo, very mellow wood flavers. burn was great till about half way down the cigar got a inch long split. Probably becasue my humidity levels have been low from the dryness out here.

smoked an Anejo Shark yesterday. Totally umimpressed. It was my first let down in the world of AF. I've another that I will try and I hope it does more justice to the hype that surrounds this cigar.

Tonight I had a La Fontana that I got in a Friday deal not to long ago. I was suprised to find out during the pre-light draw that the cigar is sweet. Never would have guessed by looking at it or by the aroma of it It Started out a little harsh. Dont know might have been smoking it too fast. But ended very pleasant.. This will be the last smoke before the big snow storm we are going to get here in nebraska. I feel for all of you in New York.

Its certainly not good for you, as are most woods. Its not toxic though. I usually wear a dust mask and did while cutting it, but neglected to do so while sanding it. I don't actually mind the inhaling part of it as much as the taste part. While it smells great, the taste is godawful and doesn't go away.

Last night I had an H. Upmann Petite Corona ISOM. It was medium-bodied with notes of wood, caramel, and licorice...a very enjoyable cigar.

Had a Puros Indios Reserva Maxima this afternoon, and in 10 minutes I'll have a Torano Virtuoso Churchill! Umm, Umm, good!

Oliveros Classic Collection "maduro" ... I put that in quotes because it was pretty light for a maduro. It was only ok. A decent smoke, but the flavor was a bit on the sour side.

Partagas 160 Robusto. Reviewed what I could in the 160 thread that Bobberific started in the reviews and ratings forum. Don't expect too many nice words.

Just lit an AVO Domaine #60 to make up for the above mentioned cigar, Can't go wrong with this cigar if you love a spicey smoke.

Last nmight I hada padilla maduro robusto (I think the obsidian). A good stick, but too much fermentation for my liking. See my review in the reviews forum.

Tonight I am smoking a Montecristo Petit Edmundo. Not quite as strong as I've heard. Lots of earthy flavor with wood notes. Nice construction and even burn.
