What Did You Smoke Today

Last night I had a padron 1926. The burn was good, but I was not too impressd with the flavour. I think I built up this ciagr too much in my mind. I liked the 64 maduro much better than this (natural). Feeling so unsatisfied; I had a Partagas Chico (habana) and that made me feel much better.

If you have any more of those Padrons you want to get rid of, let me know.

:D :D :D

Partagas Black Label "Crystal" - Good stuff, but not really exciting. Plus the ash wouldn't hold together worth a damn making it a rather messy smoke

I braved the -20 cold, and smoked a very nice La Aurora 1495 this afternoon. Very nice little Toro that kept changing up on me. This is one cigar I want some more of.

Last night= Bolivar Panetelita '94, nice smooth smoke diffently enjoyed it. Right now Torano Reserva Selecta oooooooooo mama I love these.

Gordon, my apologies. I should have something going in the next few days. I will let you know as soon as I do.

La Gloria Cubana Serie R #5 Natural tonight. A spicey asskicker as always, three thumbs up.

Nice try. I think this one was a fluke. It only stayed in my humidor for a week and probably needed more resty time. I will not be so quick to smoke them next time.

Last night had a CAO Anniversaire Maduro. I'm finding a lot I like with CAO. Can't wait to try more.

CAO is a great brand. I like a lot of their lines, but I am just not sold on their cameroon wrappers; not my cup of tea (or coffee for that matter).

The CAO L'anniversaire Cameroon is great and i had to get a box. Going to be getting a box of the Cx2's when i get my next pay check.

CX2 is a rock solid cigar 8)

Smoked a Padilla 8/11 Torpedo earlier. Wonderful smoke, nice toasty taste the whole way through, a couple of minor burn issues but otherwise a fantastic cigar.

Last Night: 98 Bolivar PC habana
pre-light aroma of pepper and earth with a little barn yard twang
Draw was kinda on the tight side (could be because the humidor was sitting at 70%rh), but managable. First third was pepper, full bodied and a dry finish; but very smooth. Second third the stick got kinda complex; showed flashes of nuts, coffee and chocolate; just flashes though; the body picked up and was now a whole mouth feel. Last third got kinda bitter as I was still having draw issues and the stick got kinda hot. It didn't quite nub this one, but it was starting to heat my fingers up and had to be held near the cap. Overall, a very enjoyable smoke. If it was a little drier I am sure it would have been better.

4 out of 6 smoke rings

Nice review, Phish, have you had any of the recent Bolivar PC's?

today i went down to the local shop (mostly because i can smoke indoors there) and had myself a Saint Luis Rey Toro Maduro.

the box press was sharp-- so sharp that it felt like a block of wood on the edge.

i didnt have time to catalog it because of all the people that were there today, but it burned clean and smooth. Im not sure how long to burn but it seemed to go by way to fast.

all in all i liked it and may have to pick up a few more to put in my humi for a bit.

Had a cigar.com Cuban label that was great today. The feiancee wanted to smoke one with me so i let her have a CAO Camaroon, which she loved.

I had a Nestor's Reserve Connie, great burn and such, just a lil too mild for me.

Wednesday I smoked a Padron 4000, yesterday a very nice 5 Vegas Classic, and today a fine CI Legends Orange. Both are very good cigars for -20 weather!!

Tomorrow a Chateau Fuente Maduro is up to bat!

Very nice selections, Gord.

Currently enjoying a Padron 1964 Anniversary Exclusivo Natural. You know, it's funny. The Maduro costs more, but after "extensive research", I think I like the Natural wrapper more. I will be getting more of these. Anybody else smoking is welcome to come to the chatroom. This will definitely not be my last smoke of the day.
