What Did You Smoke Today

A friend of mine just bought a house, so I got suckered in to going over today and helping to tear down the kitchen and the basement. He handed out an Ashton Heritage to everyone which made all the pain and sweat worth it. Sad thing is I got to go back tomorrow!

I am going to smoke a LGR serie R after diner tonight, and watch the monday night pre season game

USMC:

It must have been a nightmare over the weekend for you - the course was packed on Sunday for sure - the roads there are not meant for that many cars.

Just finished one of my Perdoma Overruns I just got in (the first batch was so bad I returned them and they sent another bundle). The draw was tight but it was a really smooth, nutty stick - went well with a cup of coffee as I am stuck in the office with paperwork until at least 11 tonight.

I recieved a lovely package in the mail today, and I celebrated its arrival by smoking a CS.
This package had a whole box of them in it! w00t

They definitely need some time in the humidor tho.

After yelling, screaming, and alot of teaching at football practice, I decided I would relax the whole 45 min drive home with a nice cigar. I chose the Gran Habano Corojo out of the travel humi and I have to say I was happy with the choice! A great tasting cigar with a good draw and a great price! I think I got it for $4. I will definetely have another.

Smoke'em if ya Got'em

Today found me enjoying a Cusano Corojo 97 - begins and ends fantastically, the middle was just a bit harsh. So far the C10 and the 18 are definitely above this one on my list.

tonight i had a 1/4 inch of a sc maduro, couldnt take anymore than that. there was somthing wrong with it. the cap fell apart and the foot was all crumbled. and it was really harsh and bitter. dont know what was up with that. then i had a fuente seleccion privada no. 1.
i have discovered a very great way to unwind after a hard day, sitting on my patio watching seinfeld smoking cigars, then coming inside and watching sin city. what a great night!

had a consuega and a fire corojo from the pass.
Both were ok....the fire corojo is certainly spicey. Going to try a few more of those.

Had a CAO italia (ciao) mid afternoon - that is, just a few minutes ago (2nd time I've tried them).

I am a fan of some of their other smokes (brazilia, criollo) but this just didn't taste good to me. It left an odd, unpleasant aftertaste in my mouth and I didn't finish it because I simply wasn't enjoying it at all.

Both times I've smoked these I've found myself trying to think if maybe something I ate or drank earlier in the day has thrown off my taste buds or if I was simply not feeling right (as I have friends who I am usually on the same page with that like this), but I think I'm done with the italia.

jihiggs quote: i had an italia, didnt care too much for it.

I will agree with the last two statments. Hard draw, nothing spectacular on the taste front. I will stick with the Brazilia if I am going to smoke a CAO. Just my $.02

I do agree. Brazilia's are much better than Italia's. The Italia's just have an odd taste to them that I just don't like.

A Perdomo Reserve maduro robusto. Was constructed well and burned well but those were the only positives. The only way I can describe the taste is burning pine needles. If you had a pine air freshener and smelled it through campfire smoke, that would be it. I had to toss it less than a third in. A little later I had a Hoyo Dark Sumatra care of rdsantos. I have been wanting to try one but probably would not have bought one if that makes sense. But I'm glad I acquired this now. It was very well constructed and burned a little uneven but ok. Very nice earthy tones which evened out towards the end to a more coffee taste. I'll definitely pick more of these up.

Ashton Corona----- Not for me. Didn't enjoy this at all. I didn't even finish it. What a waste of a cigar. It was one that was recommended by the local cigar shop.

La Aroma de Cuba Robusto from the PIF. Pretty good stick. Will get some more of these. Construction was very good. Flavor and aroma very good. Good amount of smoke. Draw was just right. Burn was very good.

Cusano C10... I can't get enough of these. The best I've had so far. I haven't smoked many but out of the 5 different ones this the best.
