What Did You Smoke Today

Albert Einstein died 53 years ago today. Nice hair, Albert.

I'm off to the Saloon and taking along a Monte 2.

My dad would have been 76 years old today, if that whole death thing didn't get him 14 years ago.

Tonight, I have a Rocky Patel 1990 belicoso.

San Cristobal Maestro. Very pleasant with lots of cedar and a hint of sweetness.

Thursday night I had a GOF Churchill. Very nice smoke that burned very slow and cool. Friday while cutting the grass I had an Alec Bradley Ovation that was gifted to me. The cello was yellow and I was suprised by this smoke.

last night i had a Camacho Select Super Robusto....man i love that smoke! and then after taht i had a Cusano Exclusivo....very contrasting to the Camacho i had, very meaty flavors and nowhere near the spice of the Camacho, it was very refreshing

My allergies have been so bad, I haven't had many cigars in the past few weeks.

Today, the allergies seem to be minimal, so I'm going with a Bolivar Royal Corona.

Taboo twist. So far the best of the Taboo line I have tried. Found it very creamy and nutty. Beautifully made and burned and smoked like a dream!

Don Thomas 'Sun Grown' for lunch. Definitely will not be writing a review on this one! I will say, it is one of the better DT I have had.....

Don Pepin "Cuban Classic" It was ok. With all the other good sticks out there with the Pepin name on it, I would probably not smoke another one.

Tonight I smoked a La Gloria Cubano wavell maduro. I havent had one in long time and really enjoyed it. In fact, it was my first smoke all week.

Last night I had a Old world reseve by R.P. Although not a RP fan and definatly not a pressed cigar fan this cigar impressed me. Great draw, pepper flavors on the tongue before the light. Leathery towards the middle and finished good except the last little bit. Got bitter at the end. I also cut it at an angle like I read here. It does make a difference. Don't know why, it just seemed to. Thanks for the tip guy's.

Had an RP fusion last night. I am undecided at this time. I like some of RP's others and want to smoke one more before I write this one off. It had a few burn issues but it was really windy so...till next time I've had much worse.

I I had a Hoyo de Nicaragua last night. I am undecided on the stick. I enjoyed parts of it but really did not like the end.
I did find it interesting that when I took a pre light pull, I got the distinct flavor of Levi Garret Chewing (leaf) tobacco.
I have never tasted that before. Either my pallet is changing or my redneck past is not that far behind me. Anyone else ever get that?

Had a Punch Rare Corojo Crystale this evening. Very full bodied cigar. Nice looking with a dark wrapper. Great draw. I think these need a little more age though.

I smoked an AVO LE 08 today. I think they showed up at the B&M on Saturday. Seemed a little fuller than the 07 version, still with that grassy smell prelight that I get on a lot of AVOs. That faded quickly and left a pretty good smoke. Even with the short time off the truck, the draw was perfect and the burn was pretty good. I'll wait a couple of weeks and smoke another.

As for those Punch Rare Corojos, I've always heard that they are much better after having a year of age on them. I haven't tried it to see, though, so I may be talking out of my butt.

i had a PRC at the B&M a month ago and it tasted harsh...i think with a year of age on them they will be much more smooth but still with a good amount of body to it
