What Did You Smoke Today

La Aurora 1495 Cameroon. Love this cigar! Great burn, look etc. Becoming one of my faves fast.

i had a Victor Sinclair Bohemia chisel last night, pretty harsh after the first 3rd....then i had a Cuvee Blan robusto, refreshing after the VS...

Finally had a nice morning to take the dog for a brisk walk. I enjoyed a Short Story first thing this morning on the walk. Great way to start the day !!

I was finally able to try one of the 601 Green Labels today. It's the one with the Oscuro wrapper. Very good, complex, full-bodied smoke. I bought four more and I may end up with a box of these. Great smoke!

I'm smoking another 601 Oscuro. It's great as well. Age is going to make this fantastic!

Currently winding down from a long week with an Opus X xXx Belicoso. Still a bit of a kick in the teeth, but a year has done these cigars wonders.

I'm on a low budget these days so I'm enjoying a Hoyo De Monterrey Excalibur 1066. Cheap cigar, but decent none the less. Maybe I'll be able to restock my Cohiba Siglo I's soon. : )

Last night I smoked a CAO America Potomac. I always hear people dogging the America but I find it to be a great cigar. I tasted primarily licorice flavors in the first half that turned into black pepper until the end. It lasted a good 90 minutes. I bought a box of these at a CAO event a couple of months ago and don't regret it.

Did I mention how much I love the 601 Oscuro? Prior to that, I had a Padron Anniversary 1964 Principe Maduro. Great coffee/chocolate flavors and a perfect draw and burn. Overall, a great smoking day.

Excellent, Aubs! The Padron 1964 Principe is really becoming one of my favorite smokes! Our B&M stocks several sizes of the 64 but the Principe's size is just perfect for me.

I smoked an Oliva Serie V Lancero and a Gran Habano Number 5 today. Anybody else smoking?

I have been a bit on the busy side and unable to post much. But in the last week I have managed to get in a OWR mad Toro, a Padilla Miami Lanc (My first Miami and now I see thay are being discontinued) and last night I ended the day with a Work of Art Mad. The RP OWR left em wanting something I have one more and hope I like it better, I do enjoy many of RP's sticks but this one let me down for now. I really enjoyed the Padilla Miami and I hope to get my hands on some before they are gone. I found the Hem Work of Art a good stick. I did enjoy it but I was surprised at how similar I think it was to the short story I had a few months ago. I think the Maduro wrapper added a bit of sweetness but it has been awhile. This was only my second hemingway so maybe I need to smoke the Mad and Cam versions closer togther to compare.

i've been really busy lately, but over the weekend I had an 07 RASS (loved it), a 2 year old CCOM Cuban Label torpedo (real smoothe and woody), a La Gloria Cubana torpedo (a little intoxicated to remember the flavors), and a CAO Criollo Pampa (nice short smoke)...I'll be on skype tonight to catch up with you guys!

Yesterday on the ride home from our Andover office (a 1.5 hour ride; yuckk) I had a La Gloria Cubana natural toro. The cello was yellow; so this was probably an older cigar. The draw very easy; too easy and the flavor was mellow and light. I was gifted the cigar so I don't know how old it was, but it seamed like it was past its prime. The flavor was kinda paper like. It was very smooth with no trace of tannins and the burn was pretty even. Overall; it was a disappointment.

Today I smoked a CAO CX2. I really love camaroons!
Last night I smoked a Fonseca KDT Cadete from 07. A little tanic and could probably use another year of age.

I had my first Olor Fuerte the other night. What a surprisingly wonderful smoke. Very creamy with lots of thick smoke.
Last night I had a Padilla 1932 signature, it was just ok.

Today I smoked an Illusione 2. This cigar is leathery and full of coffee flavor with a slight grassy finish; a very enjoyable cigar.
