What Did You Smoke Today

Okay, why didn't anyone warn me that I must ash these cigar.com cuban labels? I'm wearing all black and I just got ash all over my shirt and pants.

:hearseespeak: :p

Camacho Coyolar Puro Titan - This is one big smoke. It tried to kick my a$$. If you like a lot of smoke, this is the one for you. Even when resting, there was so much smoke I thought the Capt was going to show up with his ladder truck. It was very tasty smoke. Not able to play the palate game, but I can still taste the sweet aroma 1/2 hour after finishing it. I just received this in the mail today. Part of my Friday deal purchase. Order Thursday night and had them on Monday. Now that is good service.

OpusX Reserva D' Chateau. Tasty and very smooth. It put a big grin on my face, so it must have been good.
Tonight I was sipping on a little port, but I think this stick might not have quite been up to that. This tawny port has a really, really long finish. I could still taste the port a couple minutes later after a few puffs. I'll have to have another one with some Scotch or Cognac. Or maybe just some water. Cigars are obviously like food. Some combinations work better than others. The port was great with the Camacho Corojo Dark I smoked yesterday. Unlike the OpusX, the Camacho had the brute strength to overpower the caramel aftertaste of the port.

I had one last week. It was excellent. Tons of flavor, tons of smoke, and I'm sure it could stand up to this bottle of port I've been working on the last couple days.

I ordered 5 more Coyolars (2 titans, 1 each of the others except the rothschild) and a bunch of other stuff on Friday. Tracking says they should be here tomorrow. This is good, since as soon as I get a PIF mooch I'm gonna need one of the water pillows they use in thier packaging.

Kevin is the MAN!

By the way, if he weren't so MEAN, I would say Devil Dog is the MAN TOO! I burned a Playboy by Don Diego thanks to Jeff, and all of his tasting notes were spot-on! Thanks Jeff!!!

Camacho Coyolar Puro Titan

Had one after the Steeler win!

your assessment is correct...very good...bold and tasty...not for the faint of heart

Sunday Morning smoke: camacho coyolar puro perfecto #1 with a cup of colombian peaberry; curtosy of Ravyn. Steve wasn't kidding when he said that this one was a little monster. For a 4 inch stick, it kicked my a$$. I was a little woosy after this one; and I only smoked it to the band. It was full of great dark, full flavoured smoke. Very rich. It was pretty smooth. Just a little bite, but not much. Mellowed out as it went along.

I know I was going to be stuck in traffic yesterday; so I grabbed the R&J anniversary robusto (at least I think it was a robusto), also curtosy of Ravyn. A well constructed mild cigar, light on the palate, with a great draw. Bunred very good. I am usually not a mild fan, I am more middle of the road on the spectrum, but this was a good cigar.

Haha...they are pretty deceiving for thier little size. Glad your having fun with those cigars Dave.

Smoked a Fuente 8-5-8 Flor Fina on the way home from work. It was a very nice smoke. A bit mild with a light finish. Tasty flavor all the way past the band with a razor-sharp ash. Very enjoyable.

had RP Reo this morning and it was awesome......oily wrapper that smelled great....it reminded my alot of a fine padron will buy more of these

Had a Bolivar PC with Scott yesterday. Nice stick - thank you very much Bobberrific! That thing burns a heck of a lot longer than it looks like it will. I took my time with it - CC would be proud.

Yes, another great time shootin' the $#*@, and enjoying our coffee and smokes. I need more days like this!

OO-RAH! Glad you liked it!

Had myself a C.com Purple Label robusto after lunch today.
Nice pre-light aroma. Very smooth draw. First inch tasted very tobacco-ish. Light spice. One-fourth into it smoothed out and tasted less like tobacco, but started to get a little bitter. Maybe it was the Raspberry Iced Tea I was drinking. Two-thirds into it started to be very nice, and got better to the nub. Even burn throughout (never went out). This was a more mild than mild-medium than I had anticipated. It's a good smoke on an empty stomach or a light Good Morning cigar without coffee to start the day.

I just had a purple label too, though mine was the torpedo. Maybe this is purple day? I think I was most impressed with the quality of the burn- the one I had burned almost perfectly. Other than that it was very smooth with almost no aftertaste. There was a definate hint of wood in the flavor. It was definately a bit too mild for my tastes. I generally prefer medium to extra full.

I have read some mixed reports on what people think about Avos, But I smoked an Avo Maduro No. 2 this evening and I thought it was pretty good. A little milder than I anticipated, and had good flavor but, I expected more from an $8 cigar. I would definately smoke another one, but I have to say that for MY $$$ there are better smokes for a lot less money.

Tonight an Oliva "O" Classic Ole.

What a fine cigar. Ironically, I grabbed this to smoke while I was reading my newest edition of CA, and lo and behold this cigar is rated #9 best cigar(s) of '05. Fantastic flavor, but a tad difficult to draw, but I can live with that for this kind of taste. Went great with my Traquir House Ale!

PSD4 from Kevin, thank you my friend!

My partner and I were celebrating the hiring of our new operations manager, a position we had been trying to fill for over 6 months.

Ahhh, what a stick!
