What Did You Smoke Today

I loved the Cariocas I had. Had a great almost Macadamia nut flavor. I think its really gonna give the Exquisitos a run for its money. I'm going to a CAO event Friday and I think I'm gonna have to buy pick up a box of tins. Maybe try the Gold too. Although I prefer the stronger cigars, I enjoy a good mild once in a while.

Smoked a CAO Brazilia Cariocas from a couple of tins I bought to send out in samplers of small cigars along with the Consuegra 574 and Punch London Club. Also had a Cedar Fresh corona.

All good small cigars.

a cigar...

AND it was a Cusano 18. I must have bought a bad one because it tasted like.... not like the others I have had.

I bought it at this cheesy little smoke shop that sells cigars. It is only one of two places that I trust to buy cigars in Kearney, Nebraska. The humidor that I pulled it from has a digital temp/hydro that was right on 70/70. I think it was too dry or was way too dry at sometime.

Last night I had a Gispert Lonsdale. This is the first cigar I've smoked down to such a sorry nub I was considering hunting down the old roach clip to enjoy every last millimeter. Good thing I'm no longer married, cuz I think I'm in love.

Had an Arturo Fuente 8-5-8 followed by a REO today with a few cups of coffee. What a great morning!

Dropped my wife off at work, and returned home to light up a AF Hemmingway SS with my Kauai coffee.

Ahh, my first day of vacation is off to a good start. Although the rest of the day will be chores before my parents arrive for THEIR vacation.

I went to my local shop's CAO event today. Had an MX2 robusto and a Brazilia Gol.

I was really looking forward to bringing home some cigars but when I went to pay, I couldn't find my CC in my wallet. Then I realized I never put it back after buying something yesterday. So I had to leave to go 15 miles back home to find it--which I didn't. Then I had to go to work thinking I lost my CC. Well I just got home and was cleaning the junk out of my car when what did I find but my CC lying right next to me on the passenger seat. I had it the whole freakin' time while I was so angry tossing my house trying to find it and obsessing at work thinking somebody is out there spending all my credit.

Punch Rare Corojo. I like these guys. I smoked one straigt out of a brand new box. They most deffinatly need to rest a bit to calm down, but they have a great unique mix of tastes. I haven't found another smoke that I say tastes quite the same.

Unfortunately, I had a T*******. This was my first. With any luck it will be my last. It was a “T******* Eros” Sumatra wrapper. The draw was to light; almost like sucking through an over sized straw. It started out with the taste of leaves burning in a metal drum but quickly sweetened to sweet burning leaves in a metal drum. About ½ way down the stick it started to change over to pure spice and campfire. The smoke got hot shortly thereafter. With about two thirds left it the wrapper started to come undone.

Thankfully we had to get going.
I would have put it out after the first few puffs but it was given to me by my future father in-law and I didn’t want to insult. He usually smokes better cigars and his humi is at 70/70. I guess that the T-stick just didn’t have what it takes to make me happy.

Oh yea… his didn’t unravel and for some reason he liked his. To each his/her own.

Kuzi that is the neat thing about this hobby, there is a cigar out there that will apeal to everyones tastes, and as you get more experiance you learn to apreciate the better cigars more and more.

TH******n's are a different matter however!!

Okay boys it was a banner day - I acutally got 2 cigars in today.

Belinda Habanos Petit Corona that was sitting in my smoking shed for the last month or so - Excellent - nice smoke good flavor!

Cohiba Red Dot Robusto - another fine smoke - it was soooo good I nubbed it!

There you go!

Padron Fuma.

It may be the least expensive Padron, but it certainly doesn't lack flavor. If you can find these at your local shop I highly recommend picking some up.
