What Did You Smoke Today

I had a visit with an old flame last night. The Camacho Diploma. I hadn't smoked one of these since last summer, so after a huge meal of venison stir-fry, I carried a bottle of port and my tourch outside to begin the love-hate relationship with this infamous sun-grown. As usual, the burn wasn't that great, no re-lights, just some corrections. I ended up drinking 3/4 a bottle of port with this cigar. That is one thing I need to learn to control. Port is like Kool-aid to me. I can never sit down and have one glass. It always ends up empty! Oh well.........

Yesterday to go along with the Kaui Peaberry sent by Capt. a fonseca (not sure on the size, it was sent to me by Brenda in a trade). It had a lot more flavour that I was excpeting. Stated off with cocoa and nutmeg, finished with coffee and expresso. I wans't expecting much from it, but it was a damn good cigar. It was a dominican, but really hit the spot. The coffee was good too. I did a french press, but over extracted beacuse it took me too long to decide what ciagr I was gonna smoke and spent 3 minutes upstairs as the coffee extracted for 6 minutes (2 too long). Even with the over extraction, the coffee had a great mellow taste.

BAH!!!
I think i found a Hoyo De monterrey I dont like. THe largo elegante
Its a panatella and its draw was too hard. i had to work to smoke it. the cap fell off. i wasnt happy. I might have to smoke that Fuente (Seleccion Privada No .1) just to make up for the hoyo.

... cant win em all

I jsut finished a CAO Brazilla Robusto, sitting in the backyard enjoyng the spring afternoon. Washed it down with a Tims Cafe Mocha. Life is SWEET!!

Looks like another vot e for the CAO's, I had a CAO Brazillia Ipanema after lunch, and it was a very impressive stick, lots of taste, lots of smoke, and a decievingly long finish that I didn't seem to mind. It did enter my "favorites sofar" list. Which only goes to 4.
Smokem if ya got'em.
Regards,
Pic

Just finished a 5 vegas A series and thought it was pretty good. The draw started out a little tight but loosened up about half way through. It burned nice and even and I smoked it to about an inch before I put it down. Overall an enjoyable smoke.

Just finishing up a Romeo y Julieta that Doc-T sent. Nice cigar, Doc, thanks! :)

(Yes, finally reached that "outta room" situation)

I've been smoking the Brazilia Cariocas but actually had some full size cigars today.

I started off with an RP Edge Lite toro that I smoked on my way to my local shop's Patel event. Had some grassy overtones at first which weren't so great but they went away into a nice mild smoke. These are so distinctive they're hard to explain. I'd compare it to a Monte White.

Later once I got to the RP event at my shop, I had an Olde World Reserve. I've been waiting since last August to try one and I finally got one from Nish. I think this was the best cigar I've had yet and this was just the first blend prototype. It had a box press and smelled sweet on the prelight draw. After lighting it had a bit of pepper flavor but developed into a nice, creamy complex cigar shortly after. Nish warned me it had a kick to it but I smoke full cigars all the time so I didn't think much of it. I should have because I needed a rest afterwards. I was busy talking with the other guys there so didn't pay the full attention it deserved and now wish I did so I could give it a proper review.

This may just give the Opus a run for its money in the its niche market-- especially if they really are going to retail for around $10 like Nish said.

AF Vintage Chateau, Nice smoke. I really enjoyed it a bunch. I also smoked a Slow Aged by Perdomo and a % Vegas Limitada ti finish the evening.

I need to let my AFVC's age for a while as I smoked it as soon as the mail lady delivered it!

You've definitely come to the wrong place for an intervention. Now if you need someone to hide your smokes...

Just finished my Asian Cuisine class with high marks so I have to celebrate. I'm thinking PSD4 and a walk through Golden Gate park.
Since it's a nice day out I'm sure I'll do some sightseeing

I had a Punch rare corojo that was great! Amazing taste and very smooth. I followed that up with a C.com cameroon lable cigar that was as always a great smoke, very consistent and mild without lack of flavor. I could smoke both of these cigars every day.

I'm smoking a cigar.com cameroon label as I type. Nice cigar! Little bit of a molasses taste (hehe, still working on the palate, but that comes through clearly). I'm enjoying it, that's for sure.

Carlos Torano Casa Torano.

I really am starting to like these.

If Cigar.com were to have a Friday deal on these I may be interested. (HINT HINT HINT)

Carduus I will keep that in mind.

Lets see, in the past few days I smoked a Sol Cubano Robusto natural and maduro. Partagas Series D No. 4 ISOM and a Romeo y Julieta No. 2 ISOM. For tasting specifics go to my blog.

Thanks for the kind words. I will be updating it in a week or so with details on my coming trip to visit Rocky Patel in Honduras.

Alex, cant wait to hear about that trip (green with envy!!!!

So far today I've had a Camacho Corojo really enjoyed it smoked while mowing a few acres. I also had my first Griffins Blue label. Nice cigar loved every minute of it. Thanks corojobrad! I'm gonna finish my day later tonight with a Limitada...

Smoked a Flor de Oliva bundle cigar today while also working in the yard. Crazy burn problems, kept plugging, but man what excellent flavor. I just recieved them, so I think it was pretty wet, cannot wait to smoke them all now.
