What Did You Smoke Today

I started with a 5 Vegas Gold and was really impressed. I prefer the gold over the series A. Good even burn and very creamy smoke with hints of roasted nuts. Later I had a Cusano M1 that was good as well. Very mild smoke with a perfect burn. This cigar did smoke fast, but for as inexpensive as they are I did not see it as a problem. If you are in a mood for a very mild cigar, perhaps a dessert cigar then these are good budget friendly cigars.

Partagas Spanish Rosado San Augustin right after lunch.
Gurkha Regent Toro late afternoon.
El Rey Del Mundo Choix Supreme this evening.

The Partagas and the El Rey were wonderful, I would definitely buy them again, the Gurkha had a great taste but burned miserably, I would buy another, a bad burn isn't going to ruin my day.

Three cigars tried for the first time, three cigars that are on my buy again list.

Last night while finishing the last 6 episodes of 24, (season 4) I had a La Aroma de Cuba which I found mild but a nice smoke, then I had a Puros Indios then decided to end it all with a Punch rare Corojo.
I've decided that smoking consecutive cigars will not work for me, my pallette couldn't really distinguish anything after the first smoke, so I pretty much ruined my last 2 cigars.
After a meal without any adult beverages is when I've enjoyed smoking a cigar the most.
A mediocre experience at best.

I had a RP the sixty 1990 vintage and i hade the 1992 torpedo both excellent flavors

I had a Partags Short for Breakfast & a La Gloria Cubana (DC)
for Lunch - getting ready to head down to the Deleware for some afternoon Shad fishing.
There I will smoke Fuente Exdquisito's non-stop.
Just constant puff puff puff - keeping the flys away from my face.
Hopefully I'll have some new pictures to show!

First of all, thank you so much Paul for the Opus X! I finally was able to smoke it and I see what all the fuss is about. I don't think I've smoked another cigar like it. I smoked it with a glass of Eagle Rare Single Barrel bourbon with a splash of water. My palate's not developed enough to pick out a lot of individual flavors, but it's just a real spicy smoke with a very complex flavor. I exhale most of the smoke in my cigars out through my nose. While I can do it with this one, it does kind of make my eyes water from time to time. It burnt great the entire way. Thank you again for the opportunity to try one of these. I recently had the opportunity to purchase a couple of the Fuente Fuente Opus X's. I plan to give them a year to rest and then check them out.

Smoked a Flor de Oliva bundle cigar today while also working in the yard. Crazy burn problems, kept plugging, but man what excellent flavor. I just recieved them, so I think it was pretty wet, cannot wait to smoke them all now.
That's odd... maybe it was too wet. I've smoked quite a few Flor de Oliva maduros and found the burn and draw to be pretty consistant. They rarely burn perfectly evenly, but I don't think I've had a really bad one and I've mostly been smoking the Churchill size. As far as the draw goes I haven't had one plug either. Hell, I don't think I've even had a tight one. Personally I think they've usually got a "just right" draw.
Oddly enough, I've had all kinds of trouble with the "O" maduros. I still haven't gotten one that didn't plug up on me, and I've smoked 3 or 4 of them. I keep thinking, same company, fancier line, ought to be better. I'll have to order some Oles from c.com when they get them back in stock.

I'm a moron. I didnt smokw a griffins...it was a Graycliff Profesionale. lol!

Partagas Black Label Piramide

Smoked a few of the minis before but this was my first full size, another cigar I would buy again, unsure if I prefer this or the CAO Brazilia but I find them both to be great smokes.

nording by rocky patel i had a little small bullet type one excellent stick lots of smoke and flavor

Finished the day with a Rocky Patel V. 90. Burn was excellent, flavor was good, nice smoke, draw was a little tight. Good smoke.

I smoked my first CAO cigar. A CAO L Anniversaire Cameroon - Robusto. I found it to be a very good smoke.

Cusano 18 Paired Maduro last night. Really nice cigar.

I find I'm liking Maduros more and more with each day. Dropped by the local smoke shop and picked up a sampling of Maduros from various makers, and will let them sit a bit before delving into them.

Cusano 18 Paired Maduro IS a great smoke.
Cusano P1 is also a good smoke ... not quite as good but since they are less expensive the robusto size has becoome one of my favorite "daily" smokes

I smoked the same cigar yesterday Good stuff. I finished off the last of my Cohibas on Saturday night with a pint of Stella Artois.

.. and now for something completely different.
I was gifted a Baccarat The game candela. Having never had a candela before i was excited to try it.
I was both pleased and upset with this cigar. I nice long smoke (almost 2 hours) with a nice light flavor. Hints of fresh mown grass and some spice. the spice grew as the cigar shrank. very uneven burn. i hope this was stick was a bad one of the lot. if i took out the bad burn and the relight i would buy a few for those hot days of summer where all i want is a light long smoke but as for now, ill stick to something else.

Cusano 18 double connecticut with a diet vernors. As always, a very enjoyable smoke.

Today after lunch I had a Honduras Primero with the intent of finding an everyday smoke. While it lit, burnt, and smoked well, it just didn't have the tasty full flavor that I've found I enjoy.
Hey, I just broadened my horizon.

I smoked an Onyx reserve I was gifted last night. I don't know exactly what cigar it was but I think it was what they call thier Mini Belicoso maduro. I haven't had any of the Onyx line before. This smoke was just OK. The Maduro wrapper gave it a nice sweetness, but the smoke lacked flavor and depth. The cigar had a great draw but a very weak finish. The burn was a bit off because the wrapper had a line that burned faster than the rest the whole way down.

What I liked best about this stick is the lack of any bitter or grassy notes and the mild sweetness of the smoke.

What i liked least about this stick is the lack of depth and the very short finish.

I think this is a good cigar to try if you like a milder smoke and a darker wrapper.
